Can you gain control of a ball in 1/12th of a second?
It's not about the length of time at all that Schmeichel was touching the ball initially. It's about the fact that if Ramsey hadn't booted it from under Schmeichel's hand then Schmeichel would have still kept his hand on the top of the ball without letting it go so therefore would have still been under control.
Pretty clear and correct decision according to the rules.
Sadly so .
This!

Don't know how much longer we can carry on like this. Literally every match we're giving goal after goal away from simple corners or free kicks into the box.

How is it ridiculous? He had his hand on the ball and the ball was on the ground. It's black & white no interpretation required. There's no time limit
Don’t believe he had it “under control”. However, I will say it’s the rule I find ridiculous rather than the decision.

In the same way no one wants VAR to be measuring 1/12 of a cm for an offside, no one wants 1/12 of a second proving the ref decision. I wasn’t a clear and obvious mistake (remember that’s the black and white of VAR, J-J).

Palace top that list this season. 10 scored against from set pieces. Surprised today we lost to an open play goal.
