Aston Villa Splashing the Cash

Have a look at the Wolves comments they’re priceless.

They are on a different level to the rest of us and will be champions league regulars within 10 years. They’ve opened a megastore in China and now their brand is worldwide. Finally, they are going to build a stadium bigger than spurs or arsenal with bars, restaurants, casinos and hotels that will put Las Vegas to shame.
Deluded knobheads too it’ll end it tears when Mendes moves his players on £££££

Apparently the mags was £50m for some kid who's played less than 10 games. the game is fucked man

What is even more mental is we will probably get it..... if we sell him.

Football is truly broken beyond repair.

We won’t so you just worry about your league 1 business eh?

Without loan players, we wouldn’t have got promoted.

The problem is that by playing them, we can increase their value, as is the case with mings.

Why are you so certain you will not go down?

We've been out of the PL 3 seasons since it started. Why shouldn't we stay in it given our commitment to improving the squad? We're better than at least half a dozen teams already and our spending hasn't finished.

Wolves on the other hand have been there a paltry 4 seasons since 1992 & in 2 of those they were relegated. Furthermore, out of the last 40 years, we've finished above them 38 times.

It is not deluded to think we will survive or that we will overtake Wolves again at some point in the very near future. In fact, you are deluded if you think otherwise.

Which half a dozen teams are you better than?

For what it's worth i think you will stay up, just. Also your squad is nowhere near that of Wolves and you have, in my opinion, little to no change of bettering them this season.

Why are you so certain you will not go down?

Because there are worse teams.

I know everyone uses the Fulham example but generally, you give yourselves more chance of survival if you upgrade your squad as opposed to sticking with the side that got you there.

We had a good central midfield pairing. We’ve built on that by making 3 loans permanent. We already had a RB who was signed in January so we are effectively changing half of the outfield 10. Not ideal but hardly the crisis point that many are suggesting.

so you are counting 4 players that were already there as new signings?

genius

absolute genius

Yes, apologies, I missed out Wolves and their wafer thin squad.
did you not sign a player form that wafer thin squad who was nowhere near the first team?

I might be in a minority among Villa fans but I am glad we won’t be starting with Abraham. He’s a great lad but I’m not convinced he’s ready for the PL yet. I think he’d struggle for double figures and missed quite a few sitters last season. He’s one for the future, not the hear and now imo.

There’s a reason you’re often in the monority. It’s simply because you’re clueless and full of shite

Hope that helps

We have sold 3 players this summer 2 of which start mainly on the bench and one which didn’t even get near or first team.

Our squad will be much stronger than last season once the first ball is kicked.

If I were you I would focus on staying up rather than trying to break into the top 7

they are on a different level to you and are increasing capacity to over 50,000?
No they're not. Villa the biggest team in the Midlands and always will be. That said Wolves are the 2nd biggest & will finish higher than them this season, and Villa won't go down imo. Then they'll gradually move up and take their place as the top team in the Midlands again. All just an opinion though but.

Are you obsessed with Villa or is it just me?

I’d put you on ignore but some of your posts have me in stitches.
Not just you Cridge there's a bloke at work, and my best mate, they're both obsessed with Villa too.

from the bloke going through cum socks like tissues cos thy signed Tyrone Mings :lol::lol:
I rate him, was cracking for them last season.

Do you think that because you finished 7th in your first year back that you have cracked it?

What you know about the PL can be written on the back of a postage stamp. The second season is very often harder than the first and if you have any genuinely top class players, you’ll lose them to better teams.

Project wanderers have a hell of a long way to go before they can consider themselves top 7.

Man United are the biggest team in Manchester and always will be

City are still on another level though

Actually, the opposite is correct. The internet is full of clueless .. muppets who let their hearts rule their heads. Tammy was great for us last season but taking the sentiment out, he’s not ready for the PL yet.

Hope this helps.

but a bloke with an at best average record in Belgium (17 goals in 56 league games in the poor Belgian league) will defo do better?

I love all this talk of “levels “ from wank teams like West Ham and Wolves.

How are Wolves on another level to Villa?
More fans? No
More money? No
More commitment from owners? No
Better or bigger stadium? No
Better squad? No
Bigger global status? No
Better history? No

but a bloke with an at best average record in Belgium (17 goals in 56 league games in the poor Belgian league) will defo do better?

Nobody said that but at this point, he seems a better bet. Besides, Wesley may not even start as main striker.
