Ashes Second Test - Adelaide

Bowling not too bad here. They keep squaring Smith up the last few overs, just dropping a couple of daft gimme`s in outside off stump

I agree it should have been taken mate I just think the language used to describe it is a bit OTT.

Blokes are human and a ball that hangs in the air is a far bigger test of character than one that flies at you and you go with on instinct.

Vince's was just lazy and far worse imo.

Vince, ta. Watching bed with no sound and the old my eyes are going anarl :-)

We just need to take every chance after putting them in and that should be taken 4 times out of 5.

Has he fuck been brave , he's shit his pants because he's got no faith in his batsmen to score big runs in the first inning.

He would get no criticism at all in we batted first and got another 300 which isn't enough as proved in the last test.

He'll get dogs abuse in the Aussies score 400. He's taken the brave option. I don't agree with it like.

Fuck this, going shopping. Got 5-0 all over this series. Didn't expect much from the squad announcement but we have been worse than anyone could reasonably have expected, with star players looking bang average.

all feels like its nice and easy for the aussies here. Fairly gentle bowling and reliant on the pitch to help us out. That dropped catch was pathetic mind - you can say all you like to the press and puff your chest out, but if you then shit your pants when your moment comes you have lost the battle.

hoping playing under lights helps...

Said at the start the squad is average and there is absolutely no anger/bully boy capable of upsetting them. Stating the bloody obvious here but they need Mark Wood and Ben Stokes involved, they would make life more difficult for Australia

The irony is the batting genarally did OK in the first test, we just lacked that hundred plus in the first innings that would have built pressure. The new lads all got 50's, Root got a 50, Ali 70 odd in total and Bairstow a 40. Only Cook completely failed.

Obviously we did fold under the aggressive bowling in the second innings but the slender lead we allowed them to get didn't help either.

We should have batted here and tried to get 400. No idea why we bowled but I stand by it is a brave but perhaps foolish decision.
