Never had an Asda pizza. Will have to try one
Dinnit.

Pretend pizzas
Yankee slop.

thin crust is rank man.
It's a pizza. A proper fucking pizza. You realdoughphobic wanker.

Actually not true though I always thought it was. Deep pan pizzas came from Italian immigrants (in America) who were adapting their pizza cooking to coal fired ovens by using a deep tin to protect the base from the soot in the oven.
Yankee slop then.

Try with the bbq base it's the future I'm telling you
If the future is one of morbid obesity then I would agree.

You may as well eat a ball of unbaked dough as eat a deep pan pizza. An abomination.

They're ok for convenience, however I make my own and by my own admission are better than any pizza shop or restaurant I have tried in Sunderland or anywhere else for that matter.
I do need to try calzones in Newcastle as they would be the closest in comparison I'd imagine. (Wood fired Neapolitan pizzas)
The place on Barnes roundabout does the closest thing I've seen to authentic pizza around here. Very nice. Thin base, not overloaded with topping.
