As we currently stand

Are we stronger or weaker than last season?

Amad obviously a big miss and not having a Simms or Stewart up front makes us a bit one dimensional at the minute.

Look alike we have a bit more strength in depth in other areas though, and the youngsters like Hume, Neil etc will be a lot stronger than they were at this time last year.

Overall, we seem to look like a top 8 team, but a couple of good acquisitions up front and we could be looking at a comfortable top 6 finish. Unfortunately, we may have to wait until late August to get additional incomings on loan from the prem.
weaker

Does Stewart not count because he’ll miss the first fortnight ?

Explain how we have lost 31 goals. Stewart might miss 2 weeks and Amad signed last week of august?
You can't say we are strong with hypothetical signings man. I reckon Ross Stewart won't be same player again with that injury. If course I could be totally wrong. Would rather have amad back than fit stewart

Early days yet but our two new defenders look a bit rusty and raw...........We wont really know until the ten game mark but im optimistic they will do the business.I like our new striker who is more mobile than simms.

Speakman needs to sign some fowards then il be happy.

Going into the season with just the young kid would be stupid.

Would love Clarke to stay but think he’ll be away the back end of the window once someone stumps up 15-20 mill.

Weaker until we sign a centre forward.

We won’t replace Amad, unless Lihadji suddenly becomes a lot better than I’m seeing.

The OP said now, meaning today. There has been no forecast on when Stewart will be back but won't be for the start of the season if at all if the rumours are to be believed about clubs showing an interest in signing him, and with him failing to sign a new contract, which has been dragging on for almost 12 months. So we have a young inexperienced lad as our only striker as of today. We have failed to replace Amad, still have players out injured along with a back up keeper who is 16 years old. And I repeat, the OP said today, things could change hopefully for the better.
It is none sense to exclude a player on the basis of gossip of clubs being interested. You would rightly outraged if people included players who we are gossiping about buying.

A credible analysis would be where we are today and where we were 24/7/22. I think we are better in that match up.

It's nonsense spelling nonsense non sense

Out - Amad / Simms / Gelhardt / Michut / Wright / Bass
In - Hemir / Bellingham / Seelt / Triantis

If Bishop comes in, that will be stronger in GK.
I guess Seelt & Triantis is stronger than Wright and Bellingham is stronger than Michut
so Amad / Simms / Gelhardt vs Hemir.
Let's say he replaces Simms & Gelhardt - bit generous as he might be nowhere near

So we are minus an Amad but looking to be a bit stronger in defence, and some players will benefit massively from a season's experience, growth, development, confidence and a good pre-season.

Give us a good striker no 9 or no 10 and I would say yes, we are stronger, but not until then, though Chris Rigg may have some X factor yet

A spelling mistake critique - the finally resting place of a shit arguments author!
Because starting with the insults really helps your argument, which, like your previous posts is to bury your head in the sand and trust the club implicitly. By the way instead of jumping in head first like you normally do to have a pop at me, maybe you should have looked more carefully who actually posted about the 31 goals that we need to replace.

Looking good, although we certainly need a another striker and a GK no matter what happens. We've made some big improvements in defence and midfield, so a bit stronger.

Think everyone would be happier with another goalkeeper and another striker. Id be a lot happier if they happened this week and gave them at least a week of training with the squad.

There is no way the club haven't learned from last season and go into the season short of players......

Stronger with the addition of another striker.

One thing to factor in is our young players are more experienced now and should be better players for it
