As we currently stand

from this time last year we are down - Simms, Winchester, Dajaku and Bass only I think. Stewart is still here

We have since added: Alese, Anderson, Triantis, Seelt, Ba, Lihadji, Ekwah, Hemir, Bennete and Bellingham

Both simms and bass signed after today's date last year (bass in 2 days, Simms a week from now)
Need to cut the crap and get in three strikers and a centre back - otherwise it'll be more of the same.

You want a centre back? We have Bathh, Ballard, Triantis, Seelt, Onien, Anderson, Johnson and arguably Alesse, Cirkin and Hume

Or have I missed sarcasm ?

Some interesting movements in the coming week, hopefully should put a few more season tickets out of the door 👍

So we have the rest of today and tomorrow to sign a keeper or my point stands
If we don't sign a 'keeper, we will have access to the emergency loan option. Some L1 teams put top notch 'keepers out against us using this.

Also, the signing of Alex Bass is kind of irrelevant to whether we're stronger or weaker as he didn't play in a league game. If Alex bass is your 'this is why we're weaker' argument, it's a pretty poor argument.

Has the window shut like? I don’t really get this argument mind. Same as when Wyke left. We’re not going to be 31 goals down on last season. We just won’t be. To suggest we will be is just silly.

Players step up, other players will come in, other players will have experience to be effective.

If you’re saying we are worse off just because we can’t get Diallo in then what else can you do? Can we get a player of similar quality? Probably not.
"Players step up"
"Other players will come in"
"Other players will have experience to be effective"

Which players will step up and score the goals we need?
Until other players come in we're weaker.(in the goals department)
Which players will have experience to be effective?(at scoring goals)

Again. Will we score 31 goals less than last season? Will we be the lowest scores in the league?

We had no strikers fit and kept pace with play-off contenders on goals scored. Objectively we were worse at the back - that's what the stats clearly say.

We are quite clearly trying to get more options up front and have signed a promising young striker already. More will come.

But it makes perfect sense, looking at the teams stats, to prioritise defensive reinforcements. Which we have.

Something the moaners don't want to admit is that we also appear to have warned off interest in our actual best player - as in our own - Jack Clarke.
The original question was are we weaker or stronger.
Having an opinion that we might be slightly weaker in the goals department does not make someone a moaner.

We have more depth but feel we need them few quality players to come in who will be some of the first names on the team sheet. 1 quality loan in the mould of Amad and 1 quality striker signing and I would be happy.

Point to where I said we'd score 31 goals less.🤔
We need to replace the 31 goals we've lost, the players replacing those 3 players will need to score those goals or contribute in another way to the benefit of the team.
Who's the replacements for Simms, Amad and potentially Stewart.
Hemir could potentially be one but we'll need more.

Some of it is injuries, we got about 20 league games each out of Ballard, Hume and Cirkin, if we can get them up near 35-40 then we'll definitely be better in defence.
