Fotmob app saying over 58,000 in attendance and Gary Neville saying round about 30,000 in attendance.

Well, England being 69-6 up against Italy then in the 6 nations :p

Yeah, maybe a bit of a difference. If City were like 3-0 to a lesser side then I would be more interested, but my point was if the favourite is comfortably doing what they are supposed to then no matter how lovely the team goals are, I'm just not that bothered if it was 3 or 4-0 in a never really in doubt match. Don't get me wrong, I love a good 4-3 or 5-4 thrilling goal fest, but when a huge favourite are very comfortable then it's a massive turn off for me. That's why I hate it when Sky / BT show a top 6 side at home to a lesser side in the earlier parts of the season as literally 9/10 it will be a routine home win.

Oh and I can't stand any form of cricket marra.

totally agree

City are 3-0 up and strolling the league yet the away end are all sat in silence.
Well done City fans for travellng down in that weather, you are the only fans I heard tonight apart from the beginning of the second half.

Love it me, especially when a top side gives another a good ol whipping.

Honestly give the t20s a shot, it's fuck all like tests and class for a gamble. Gets the blood pumping when it goes to the wire. I love tennis but the atp is in a poor standard at the moment imho, why the fuck are we discussing this on Hanks holy football thread

Boxing's about career development though. It's about how you win, not just winning.

I know all about the brand building and hand picked mismatches.

I was just saying I'd much prefer to see a close match on paper than one where someone should win and if they don't they will have truly messed up considering they have a lot more talent than the person / team they are facing. Most would seemingly rather see star power looking good regardless of opposition. E.g. at the arena about 3 years ago, Hearn brought a show up here and there was about 6,000 in attendance and as soon as the Joshua-Gavern fight finished and it was only 10.15pm, I'd say more than 75% of the arena left when there was still a 55/45 Commonwealth title fight featuring a lad from South Shields. I'd rather have seen that fight than the Joshua one if one had to be cancelled late for whatever reason as that was the more competitive fight and the winner would have achieved something rather than just doing what they should have. But that's just me.

I don't think there would have been many tourists among that lot.

I wonder if there's something just a tiny bit unfulfilling about this season for City fans?

The League Cup is in the bag, the FA Cup is over, the league is now theirs.

They are 4 goals up v Basle so are as good as in the last 8 of the Champions League.

This part of the season is supposed to be "squeaky bum time" according to Fergie, but they've basically got a maximum of 5 meaningful fixtures in nearly 3 months. You could throw the Manchester derby in there to make 6.

Not the worst problem to have, but a procession like this is bound to lack a little bit of tension and excitement.

Was listening to the build up to this on five live driving home, Steve Claridge and Martin Keown having a real go at each other over Wenger

Aye heard it coming home as well..Wasn't Claridge though was Neil Ashton..Sounded like Ashton was on a wind up and Keown lost it big style..Was hilarious when Keown started banging on about Ashton's failing sky career.

They could concentrate on the Champions League though which would catapult them into the footballing elite overnight, if they won it.
