doesn't matter as long as some people can afford it!

not long for £150 and £200

should be £10 to watch a game of football!

£100 is for the most expensive basic ticket so apart from it being an interesting stat I don't see the problem.

I thougt away fans paid about £33

In case anyone is interested, here is a breakdown of the arsenal prices by stadium area to give a (very rough) idea of how many of each price band of ticket there is likely to be

Match Day ticket prices
Category A Category B
Centre Upper £94 £66
Centre Upper Back £71 £50
Next to Centre Upper £71 £50
Next to Centre Upper Back £62 £44
Wing Upper £62 £44
Wing Upper Back £56 £39
Corner Upper £62 £44
Goal Upper £67 £47
Goal Upper Back £56 £39

Centre Lower £53 £36
Wing Lower £48 £33
Corner Lower £48 £33
Goal Lower £48 £33

No wonder it's up there with the worst grounds to visit for atmosphere. Filled with rich twats and tourists.

Another stat in the Mail on Sunday article is that allowing for inflation since 1920 the current ticket price would be £1.66p.

The price of the Mail on Sunday, £1.50p!

So will this get fan's to start buying season tickets more in the future of every club.

Ah bollocks qoute didn't work. As little as 33 quid?! Seriously that's still ridiculous

I nearly emphasised it with quotes to show it as such, but left them out waiting for the inevitable "rich bastard, living in a dream world" type replies ;)

The "boycott" of Chelsea backfired in the end, those who chose to still go sit in a warm glow knowing they've seen an amazing spectacle in the modern footballing context, those who "boycotted" are kicking themselves, but will regale us in years to come of how they were there, flying the flag.

good for them but many might not be there for them to share their experience with - a lot of people can't afford football but if some can afford it than that is fine.

Unfortunately its not just the footballers and agents who arent living in the real world. Remember that the people who run the football clubs ie Directors also live a life of luxury way out of the normal persons reach. It all adds to people running the game who are simply out of touch with the normal Joe (and Joeess :)).

At SAFC I guess we're quite fortunate on the ticket front as our prices appear to be amongst the most competitive. £10 for example for the bairns ticket for the WHU game is excellent value IMHO.
