Argos lorry trapped on top of Porsche

lorry coming out of sainsbury's using both exit lanes as needing to take a wide swing to enter dual carriageway, porsche sees the slightest gap, tries to be clever and attempts an undertake knowing fine well what the lorry is doing and wallop, ruined the porsche drivers weekend. simple as that.

Whilst we cannot be certain on the exact circumstances I do observe many drivers who do not seem to have a clue as to the turning requirements of large vehicles. It is extremely worrying.

me being a saddo i looked on google maps where it happened
could have been poor positioning by the lorry driver. sometimes you have to take up both lanes to prevent things like this. it's never popular but better than this sort of thing happening.

Don't even think it's that half the time. People are just generally impatient on the roads and willing to take huge risks to make their overall journey about ten seconds faster.

Big Jeff will be along questioning your observation in a bit
are you an accident investigation specialist
What other reason is there for a car to get stuck underneath in the direction it’s traveling?

it's in the highway code to be aware of the space large vehicles may require. thankfully this was only a bent car and not a cyclist.

Aye but most drivers don't know the highway code by memory. What I mean is they should integrate a hgv section into the theory test to make drivers more aware of potential risks or hazards.

Sat outside the Woollen Mill and seen all the commotion and police go past. Assumed the lorry was in the right lane to turn left. The Porsche was in the left lane to turn left. Lorry went, Porsche never.
