Are you still behind PDC???

This bit makes your whole post/rant seem a bit hypocritical. Also, if you give backing to players who continually make mistakes, you will lose the respect of the players AND the fans because they'll both know that you're full of shit. The players live their lives in the public eye - when they mess up it's there for everybody to see - regardless of who says what in private or in public. That's the price they pay for getting £40k+ a week to kick a ball about. It's a results business, so let's be patient and see if the results come before making such harsh judgements.

Wether you are getting paid 40k a week or the minimum wage its basic human psychology that you wont want to perform for someone you dont like, respect or treats you like a child. These footballers are just human being with feelings and emotions like the rest of us

Lets just see how things pan out. Hopefully I am proved 100% wrong then you can gloat to you hearts content

It's not about if I'm right or wrong. You want him to fail. You aren't a supporter.

You say he treats the players like kids. How? To me he's treating them like men, he's 100% honest, he tells it like it is and if our players can't accept his comments (which were blown completely out of proportion) then they haven't got the right mentality, they are as weak as your support for the cause.

They have a job to do and there's no room for sensitivity here. They are under performing and have to buck their ideas up...fast.

He must be the only modern day manager to do this then. Lets just see how this tactic of total honesty works then.

You're right. I much prefer when a manager says that we were the 'better team' on the back of a defeat. Or when MON used to laud the 'fine side' of whoever was beating us. It helped me cope, I know that.

You missed your vocation you should have been a motivational speaker or run team building exercises.9 out of 10 people respond to public condemnation positively.

Never wanted him in I'll be honest.

I admire the hours he and his team are putting in and he deserves a chance based on that alone.

It's not the results so far this season that worry me. I think that team against Palace looked awful from the minute it was put to paper. So I'll excuse him that. (Cabral thing pissed me off mind)

But I can't get past his public slagging off the players at present. I just can't see that helping in any way shape or form and it's such a simple thing to rectify.

Technically the jury is still out. For all of his so called organisational skills we've looked wide open at times against below average teams and I'm not convinced this 442 formation is a good idea with our midfield.

So I'm really interested to see his tactical approach to the Arsenal game and his team selection.

People to continue to tell us he is a clever football man so I'm 50:50 at present on whether he will succeed at present. If the football comes good the negative bits go away anyway. So I just hope we get some positive results and he calms himself down.

Faced with a long winless run I think he will fire off about 30 magazines of bullets at everyone then implode up his own arse

How many great, good or even shite managers do you know who have come out after a match or during a press conference with a 100% total honest policy?

Also I wouldnt even say he was being honest all the time, some would call it blame shifting. You just cant come out after every defeat and start slagging your players off man. It just wont work, end of f***ing story. He needs to rein things in, create a team spirit and togetherness. Get the players working and playing for him., create a good atmosphere around the place. Yes, give them a bollocking in private if needed but publicity you need to back them

So what if he is? There isn't a blue print on how to be a manager. People use different techniques.

It worked at Swindon. The only difference is how precious our players' ego's are.

I'd rather listen to a strong minded Di Canio who does not feed us with cliched bullshit than a bumbling O'Neill or Steve 'pass the buck' Bruce.

Di Canio is a winner. He trained like a lion when he was a player and has the highest standards. If our players accept his hardworking, committed philosophy then we'll be fine. However, if they are lazy and choose the easy way out then there's not a manager available who would make a difference anyhow.

Personally I think the mad Italian bastard should be as chased as soon as possible. He is a loose cannon. You treat people the way he does and expect them to respect you and want to play and do there best for you. The players will f***ing hate him, he is treating them like children and running the place like a concentration camp. I thought he would have had the sense to realize you have to rein things in when dealing with higher profile players but no he just cant help himself. He is embarrassing himself and the club and things will get worse in the coming weeks and months imo. Fully expecting him to give a player a dig soon like he did at Swindon. Morale amongst the players must be at a low with the way he is treating them. Would you want to play for someone who is treating you like a child and willing to rant about you when you make a mistake?

It cant be hard to realise for him surely that he cant keep giving the press what they want. They are dying for him to fail and he is feeding them the ammo that they are after. Just keep you mouth shut for a change and back you player. They might respect you and want to play for you. I dread to think where we will be in 2 months time with this loony tunes in charge still.

The bloke is a 100% nut job

Did you not read the op? Yes or f***ing No?[DOUBLEPOST=1378241608][/DOUBLEPOST]
Di Canio? Absolutely.

But Short has hung him up to dry and made him look like an idiot.

:eek::lol: #2 on ignore.

I can accept others opinions on tactics, team selection and if Paulo really is as mad as a box of frogs or not but that is a truly ridiculous statement.
