Are postmen Heros

I completely understand how the NHS are working so hard and risking their lives with underfunded hospitals...... police maybe? Are trying to keep idiots in their homes .... but postman? Really postman? To become a nurse you have to train for 4 to 6 years and have a level of empathy I could never reach .... a postman s only skill is to be able to read and walk.... oh and to help themselves to the necklace I sent my niece and that tenner I once put in a card.

They are keyworkers. Not every keyworker is a hero, and not every hero is a keyworker, but keyworkers are vital to the continuing operation of the country at some reasonable level.

I’m damn sure I wouldn’t want to be carting about a back breaking bag of mail covered in a 1000 strangers saliva and manky hand grime at this time.

I seen a thank you to the binmen the other day. The same bin men who are doing their standard job minus emptying my brown bin.;)
I saw a clip of NW news tonight from Preston.

f***ing animals have resorted to throwing black bin bags of rubbish into the back streets.

binmen and women are vital to country remaining normal.

That’ll help keep infections and disease down.

Nobody likes to be called a hero, they're people doing their jobs in difficult circumstances.
Maybe people should stop calling people heroes and show their gratitude at the next general election.

Touching gates, letterboxes, handles, entry systems. And we're still not sure how long the virus lives on cardboard. Emptying post boxes that may have the returned Corona Virus testing kits. The public might be surprised to find out the specialist equipment that Royal Mail issue for this purpose is a plastic bag. It has to be turned inside out and used to handle the tests like someone would if they were working at a fish counter (Royal Mail's words not mine).
