Are most of the "bed wetters" young folk with memory loss?

Up until yesterday, Stoke had made their worst start to a top flight campaign for 45 years. We've made worse starts in 4 of the last 5 years and our situation is now worse than last year. It's not f***ing good enough and shows no sign of changing. If the OP is happy with that then fair enough but to start this bed wetting bollocks when it's clear as day we're in the shit to a far greater extent than recent years makes you come across as if you're burying your head in the sand.

I'm old enough to want to stay in the Prem under any circumstances but yesterday was a four year low.

We can still do it though.

ITHICS

I did. I said if we are saying stoke are miles ahead of us then yes, the mags are miles behind us.

On and off the pitch at the moment unfortunately the mags are streets ahead. Their signings in the summer at least had some structure and thought going into it.

Supposed lesser teams like Bournemouth are playing decent football and again bought players in the summer to improve their team. Stoke were always in a false position with their poor start.....We are bottom of the league deservedly and look most likely to stay there.

My first game was 1984 so it not bed wetting that gets people worked up, it's not wanting to go back to the shite we had back then. The way the club is run is taking us slowly back to being in the Championship or worse for decades.

Fuck off ya pompous twat.you tried to make him look an idiot when he was in fact correct. That gillingham game was the lowlight of my time watching S.a.f.c.
Mine as well. The away game was bad enough but the pain of the defeat on away goals at Roker left me completely numb. The games we threw away from winning positions made 1986/87 the measure of all things bad (to me, and in my opinion).

Thank fuck for Bob Murray, Denis Smith, Marco Gabbiadini and John Macphail.

Made all the worse by them bastards jumping all owa in the gillingham end.i was only 16 at the time, broke me that did for a bit. Then the play offs, which by the way I was in the gallowgate undercover aged19(daft or what) ,that eased my pain somewhat.Ftm

No argument - the third division was eventually one of great joy. Fondly remembered by many as a favourite season which helped heal the club. 13 away wins that season man! We loved it.

I'm not being over-dramatic but we simply had to get out of there first attempt or could have been down there forever. But the slide into it and that season is still all too real. Dropping from the premier league in comparison was never as bad.

Mcphail, what a leader mind.unsung hero for me.went on to become a car salesman.how times have changed marra

I no more like it when certain fans get called 'young fans with short term memory loss' than bed wetters. It is the younger fans with less experience who have been hit hardest by these bad times. At least older fans have known better periods. Younger fans who have known the least amount of time have only ever seen the bad.

Though my love of SAFC was founded on a loss - the 1992 FA Cup Final - it wasn't till about 1995 or 1996 that I began properly supporting Sunderland. First listening to the games on the radio and then in about 2006 getting my first season ticket. My one and only game at Roker Park was a defeat (A 1-0 loss to Tranmere on March 5, 1995). My first game at the new stadium was a defeat (losing to Middlesbrough in the first Wear-Tees derby) and my first game at the stadium as a season ticket holder was a defeat (losing to Charlton Athletic in the opener to the 2005/2006 '15 point' season). Either side of those times you don't see an awful lot of good times.

So it is harsh to criticize the younger fans for their attitudes when their actions are based on totally understandable reasons.

Macphail, John Kay and Marco completely held revitalise that team - combined cost of about £105,000 or summat daft. An unknown kid with pace and power to burn (Think Watmore with steroids and goalscoring acumen) a tough, uncompromising centre back and a locally-born mentalist who between jumping on cars and ploughing fields had learned his trade with the crazy gang.

£10m for Rodwell you say?

cheers marra, I knew I had him beat when he went onto criticizing grammar from a mobile auto correct. Tried to be clever and just looked a kernt.

Marco must have scared the shit out of big slow cumbersome centre half so in the day mind.i remember first watching him ,thinking Ffs,his upper legs were about 3 times thicker than mine.

I would have thought that if someone is going to pull you up on a post, they would have read it first and make sure they are correct. The stupid owld twat.:)

For years all I dreamt of was seeing us in the top flight whilst following us.

Also, we've been in this situation the last few seasons and managed to get out of it.

Not saying its good, its clearly not, but the reactions and meltdowns are embarrassing tbh.
How many times man. It's not bed wetting. It's the truth we're knackered

100%..... though I agree (at present) it's a truck crash at the moment... But half of our first team are out injured, the ones who are very important players to us...

I have seen us in more situations like this while I've followed the Lads but none worse than this years crop. I've watched team under Alan Brown then Hardwick. Then along comes McColl and Billy Elliott and then the best Bob. Next it was Jimmy Adamson and then a series of also ran's up to Alan Durban, another class act except for Cowie interferrence. Then Mcememememey joint bottom with another manager later on, then the Butchers and Buxtons, Ashursts etc, with a glimpse of the promised land under Reidy. Wilko and his muppet mate came and went,McCarthy and the Quinny and Keano had a try. Bruce was just a fuck wit then Poyet, who was terrible, PDC was PDC, MoN left me crying,. Dick, I thought would not make the same mistakes but he did and then Sam came along. He gave me hope albeit for a few months and then this clown arrived. (see Menemememeny). I really despair.
