Are car headlights getting brighter ?

Seems to me like they are.

Fairly certain people aren't flogging around with the beam on either, just some seem bright as owt.

Also what's with this craze with having different tints on them. Seen a few in recent days that had a blue tinge to them.

LED bulbs are a lot brighter then standard bulbs, which are what is fitted to newer cars

Some cars have adaptive LED lights which are supposed to be on high beam permanently but shut down certain LED elements when they recognise an oncoming car. They invariably don’t work properly.

But LED and Xenons are much brighter than old halogen tech.

Some radgepacket phoned me at work (highways) the other day to complain about the low sun blinding him when he was driving.

He wanted me to "sort it out"

Could only reply with, I dare say the sun could possibly dimmed with a nuclear explosion but this would likely have wider implications for mankind.

The wavelength of blue light is far less than that of yellow ish light. It appears to be naturally brighter to the human eye as it isn’t affected by other particles in the air.
