Apple watch

Sorry if there's already a thread.. Couldn't find one.

Just wondering if anyone has an apple watch.. and how good are they for fitness tracking? :)
It depends on how scientific you want to be. For some they will go for more specialist kit, but for most it’s great. It will track your runs, cycles and workouts, heart rate, calories etc and play music whether you have an iPhone with you or not. It will then store all the info on your phone.
Depending on your preferences it will also set targets, reminders etc. They have recently done an update that integrates the sleep app as well.

There are other options out there but for me it’s great, not just for fitness but also the first port of call for your phone.

I wasn’t into them originally but wanted to get back running so got myself the Nike one and some AirPods Pro 3 weeks ago.

back to running 5k for 5 days a week now and every little improvement is charted by the Nike running app.
Really enjoying it so far.

however there are plenty who will get one for fitness and use it to count their steps power walking to greggs. My boss for example!

Suunto traversre Alpha is a nice bit of kit if your into fitness and survival ... plenty of nice accurate fearures if your into exercise and survival including a storm alert feature. When it first went off the wife Farted with in 20 seconds

If you want specialised data get a dedicated watch but otherwise it’s awesome. Tracks all sorts from swimming to cycling, running and gym work to reasonable levels. I also use my as a golf gps and love the fact I can quickly see my texts or answer calls on it.

theres a ton of stuff on there which is pointless But other bits are great. At the moment I’m two clicks away from Apple contactless on it which is great when you have a mask on and can’t use your phone.
