Aouchiche

And Saturday where he was f***ing anonymous. Very frustrating as we all know on his day he’s a great player at this level but he was Tommy Miller v Birmingham.

He and Ekwah were told to be more 'traditional' holding mids Saturday to protect the two CBs, this hamstrings Neil's natural game as for me hes far more progressive than just sitting in. Part of the plan on Sat meant it was Huggins to be the one stepping out into midfield and going past both Neil and Ekwah. Perhaps not their best games, but the plan was on purpose and it got us a result.

He's been excellent this season and I was buzzing to see him captain the club he supports. A big props to the academy too, a boy signed up at 6 years old coming through to captain the side, massive success.

Fair enough like but as CM and captain you’d have expected him to be more involved. I only remember the commentator mentioning his name three or four times the whole game and when he did have one chance he looked weak.

I did notice that without LON and with the two young lads as CDs they weren’t trusted to play the ball out as we normally do and there were a lot more long balls than we usually see which may have gone over his head but still a disappointing run out for him.

No massive disagreement here but both lads have good long passes in them and we had Rusyn up top. Stands to reason we'd play to cover their weaknesses/inexperience and utilise their strengths.

If you haven't watched the latest Murty vid give it a go. He lays out the approach the club has to preparing these kids to play for a big club. How we demand high standards, psychological, technical and physical goals are laid out for each individual. I was well impressed with how professional the club is now and with Murty as an individual.

Where is that one? Couldn’t see on the website

Would the social media team know the starting 11? I hope you're right mind, he's overdue a start.
I’m not sure directly but I’ve noticed previously that they push certain players seemingly at random ahead of getting a chance or a contract or whatever. It’s a bit of a pet theory. I’ll bookmark this and call it shite if he’s benched tomorrow!

It may simply be there’s a bit of hype about him and therefore they cash in on that by making content about him. But obviously the hype goes hand in hand with playing well and therefore a start, a bit of chicken and egg
