Used to be...No 7 on Tunstall road looks mining everytime I pass by imo. I recall when it was one of the best fish & Chip shops in Sunderland years ago...it was spectacularly clean and great grub.

Strange isn't it? Bobby has always prided himself on cleanliness. Like someone said upthread it takes into account record keeping and stuff, I can only imagine it's summat like that.
Had a coffee and cake last week tremendous and clean as out. Iirc they got it wrong last year with downys chip shop.
Borneo bistro had a 1 rating due to the place not having a staff wc iirc. If it's record keeping, that's a disgrace, businesses could fail with such bad press . Downeys chip shop had a similar problem
