Anyone recommend me a new tv?

As @PTR and @sima-hebburn said - look at something like the KS7000 for that price.

Just under £800 with 5 year warranty here:

If space isn't an issue the 55inch can be had for a very similar price.

Amazing tv's for the price.

Don't go for cheaper ones as you will be missing out.

The LG's especially in the cheap price range are fake 4k and not true 10 bit panels. They fake it.
Got my free sky Q Today fella. Bit annoying to find it's an extra £18 for UHD like!

Cheers, I have been looking at that one but not sure if its worth spending £800 when I can get one that will probably do for around £500. I don't play games,

however my little lad plays on his Xbox / PS4 a lot and can't see that ever changing.

I would almost certainly go for that one if it wasn't for the remote control, I would never get my head around it. As for the BTWs I'm not a bloke so don't think that will affect my decision .

This is the only Phillips one I can find on Argos, is it anything like this?

I am looking for a 49" 4k smart TV but there are so many out there I just don't know where to start, my head is absolutely done in reading reviews. Got about £800 but would obviously prefer not to spend that much. All I want is a telly with excellent picture quality.

Anyone got any recommendations?

I was looking at this one but it comes with a magic remote (which I have no idea how to use and a few are complaining about it in the reviews) so would prefer one with a normal remote if possible.

You can get some good deals at the moment.

Fenwicks, JLP and Richer sounds are best as you get guarantees of 5-6 years.

Fenwicks do the UE40KU6400 by Samsung at £599

4k, hdr, screen mirror, decent sound.

If your lad is into games then a bit pricier, but class is the LG

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dv...d-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-49-led-tv-10144245-pdt.html

which is also 3D- (only Panasonic are doing 3D for 2017 range I think) but the lg 3d is class and re games, you can use the cheap cinema type glasses and play games 'dual play' so split screen games like call of duty etc can be played with each player seeing their 'own' screen instead of it being split in two, absolutely class.

downside to currys is short warranty

I said 3D tech would be ACE for multiplayer years ago - finally someone has done it!

haha LG did it 3-4 years ago, but most the manufacturers are killing 3d off even though LG had nailed it on their 2016 oleds-AMAZING
esp with 4k films and gaming

it doesn't even cost owt to put it on the TV's either , its just software, but they are trying to push 'HDR' as the latest "it looks great on a usb demo in the showroom, everyone must buy a new tv every 2 years" trick even though there is sod all available in HDR.

LG are the only ones who did 'dual play' but I think any passive 3D set can do it by changing the glasses so both left lenses are on the left and both right lenses on the right (it tricks the eye into seeing a different image)
but lg did special dual play glasses already made that way.

I really must find a stunning busty 21 year old in a bar and tell her all this, it would go down well.
