He got out of the way alright..the lad had a clear run. If it was zonal like someone said before why was he trying to mark Vestergaard? He had his hands on him to get him out of the way to get to Vertergaard, you can see that’s who he was marking at all corners. Even for the goal, before Justin got in his way he was grappling with Vestergaard.
Apologies I thought you meant on the goalWhat, the one one where they both got booked and 09 literary had the one of his 13 ripped off.?
Hes a steady pair of hands and we will recruit a better quality of coach during the summer.
I don’t think it was, no although I guess we’ll never know for certain. All game O’Nein was on Verstergaard for corners. He got out of the way alright..the lad had a clear run. If it was zonal like someone said before why was he trying to mark Vestergaard?
Was it zonal marking?
I disagree. We want to get promoted and we have excellent players. Any defeat is disappointing and if there are things we should improve on then we should comment on them. Our thought the use of subs was poor tonight and Saturday. I think Mowbray's presistence with Burstow has to end and that doesn't mean playing with strikers. We can see positives for sure but accepting heroic failure is not a recipe for success.![]()

The club is not a short term environment anymore. Pointless sacking him to bring in a coach who is a bit meh.Agreed - that’s what he is. A steady pair of hands during a ‘holding’ season where the recruitment team have made no effort either really. On that remit I think he’s doing an excellent job.
Like I say - pointless twisting about him every defeat unless you commit to sack him.
It was that or take him off. He wasnt in the game at allI’m not disappointed with the performance but the decision to move Clarke, arguably the best winger in the division, up front (a position he’s never played well in) has really pissed me off.

So the coaches are responsible for lads being outjumped ? Not free headers, both Stoke and Leicester players outjumped our markers. How do u legislate for that ?We done okay. Ultimately punished because the coaches cant organise a defence or set pieces.
6 defeats in 13.

I’d love to see a video of the 10 good chances. We had 1, maybe 2 good chances. We had a lot of the ball in attacking positions but players weren’t available for the pass so we didn’t get into good scoring positions very often.
Absolute bang on. Excellent post.We wont ever get promoted with Mowbray because he isnt tactically good enough to outperform every other side bar two over the course of a season.
He plays attractive football because he’s happy for players to ‘express themselves’ but that isnt pragmatic nor is it going to work 75% of the time which is whats needed to go up.
We are wide open at the back, We are attrocious at defending set pieces and we have lost potentially 6 points in that regard within the two games alone.
His substitutions are shite, He throws 3 subs on at 60 minutes and just hopes they do something. Why would you take the leagues best winger from the left hand side and chuck him upfront? Even more so with two strikers sitting on the bench.
He’s negative as fuck every time he speaks and just accepts that we will ‘lose three on the trot from time to time’ - Unacceptable for me.
He’s on thin ice and needs to sort it out imminently.

Keep him until the summer, have a decent season and then sack him when far more coaches are available.
I disagree , TM deserves credit for the way he set the team up and even after the 3 subs we created chances. Tony can't legislate for our players skying every chance over the bar. For me , the coach did his job. Lack of composure is to be expected in young players learning the game. WE played really well tonight. Gutted for the lads.Upped our game against the best side in the league, but ultimately fell foul (again) to a page straight out of the Lee Johnson book on how to defend.
Subs were messy again with no real tactics. It's a real shame he put Clarke upfront and Ba wide left as I'm sure Clarke would have buried one of those chances.
Patto was fantastic and kept the defeat respectable, but yet again we got ourselves into good positions and snatched at chances....it feels a little like groundhog day and I'm not sure that Mowbray knows how to turn it around tbh. Bit of a shame as I don't think we're far off.
This, absolutely this. I do wonder if the board are thinking about making a changeWe wont ever get promoted with Mowbray because he isnt tactically good enough to outperform every other side bar two over the course of a season.
