Anyone on here take amlodipine and ramparil together ?

Blood pressure has been scarily high last few years to the point where I had to go to AE in the middle of the night about 2 months ago for extreme nose bleeds. I woke up one night swallowing loads of blood went to the bathroom and it was absolutely pissing out my nose. It was absolutely frightening tbh. When they took my BP that night it was 180/130

Anyway since then I've been on tablets for high BP started off on ramparil but after 4 weeks my BP was still really high so they put me on amlodipine as well.

Since then thankfully my BP is sort of under control however I'm extremely tired all the time and was wondering if anyone of you were on both tablets and had the same sort of constant fatigue.
Cheers

I am on the minimum dose of Bisoprolol and Losartan. I don't feel tired except after large meals/alcohol but I could sleep for England, sometimes more than 10 hours.

Yes I do. Can't say I've noticed any side effects. If anything I'm sleeping better so less tired during the day but that may be due to the weight loss and drinking less.

I was originally put on Ramipril last spring but it didn't affect my BP much even after increasing the dose a few times. My GP added then Amlodipine (which I can never pronounce) into the mix and it dropped immediately. I have an appointment next week to do some blood tests and review my prescription.

I take both Amlodopine and Ramipril, have done for a good few years now.

Can't say I've noticed an increase in tiredness other than the odd nap after I've had my tea (worknights only), and I put that down to simply getting older.

amlodopine had that affect on me
You can ask them to change it

I was warned that it was a possible side effect when I first started taking it so they recommend taking it in the evening to start with but now take it at breakfast time. Main side effect of ramparil is swollen ankles but I don't get that either.

Was on Ramipril on its own for a while and it didn’t seem to have any effect. Now on Perindropril and Amlodipine together and that seems to be working better. Sometimes tired, sometimes not, so don’t know if it‘s off the medication or just life in general.

I am, often tired but never associated it with that. But I feel like shit all the time these days. If anything I have middle of the night insomnia.
Could you alter the timing of taking them at bedtime to help?

Yeah me RIP

Can't follow this. So your BP was scarily high for a few years but you've only been on tablets for 2 months?
Some tablets work for some people and not for others. I was on 5mg amlodopine but it still wasn't under control so they put me on 10mg which sorted it but I felt terrible so they did 5 Amlodopine and 5 lisinopril which controlled it then decided for some reason to do 10 lisinopril and my BP went thru the roof so I'm back on 5 &5 now. I'm certain tho the lisinopril is giving me mega dry skin but getting an appointment at my gp is nigh on impossible now

I take amlipodine every evening. Don’t think I ever knew it can cause tiredness. I get tired but it doesn’t stop me doing anything and I always thought it was just … life.

Mind I’ve also got some issues with my blood count and they did a bone marrow biopsy (drilled into my hip bone for it) last week. I get the results shortly. One of the symptoms of one of the things I might have that equates with the blood count is tiredness. But if I’ve got that symptom, like I say, it ain’t stopping me doing anything atm.

My point is that any symptom can be a lot if things, including age or just your normal physiology. Medication or combinations of them are just one of those things.

I take Amlodipine and Candesartan

Candesartan in the morning and Amlodipine before bed. Can't say I've noticed any tiredness but maybe it's just putting me to sleep on a night
