Im despeeate for a change as had enough of factory work. I've been off work for a short while suffering from anxiety and depression and I have come on a long way to where I was and ready to go back to work. I have realised during my time off that factory work was/is contributing negatively on my mental health so need a change. I would love a service delivery role where I'm out and about seeing/meeting people or I would love to be a postie.
I'm waiting for a postie job to become available in Shields as applied for one in Newcastle and was told 'off the record' that they prefer you to work in the town you are living or as close as.
I'm not too fussed about wages as about £1k a month would see me ok as again I have realised there is more to life than money. Thanks in advance and I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year with your families

My brother took the leap initially from factory to taxiing.

Knocked the shifts on the head which ultimately gave him better time with his family and loads of flexibility with being self employed.

Could be the first step before taking a CPC course or something.

I’m picking up shifts van driving. En all over the last fortnight, from gosforth to Walsall.

I see sometimes around South Tyneside a delivery van which has a phone number on the side asking for drivers. I'm sorry I can't be more help than that but I'm guessing that sort of stuff might appeal. If I see it I'll jot the number down and let you know.

Have you looked at amazon flex? Dunno if there’s enough work there for a full time job but it’s flexible.

Amazon Flex
Yeah mate just don't fancy being out til 8pm etc at night. I've got a child with autism so child care is a problem. In an ideal world something where I start at say 6am or 7am or even earlier if needs be and as long as i am home no later than 5pm. Don't mind doing the odd weekend or even every weekend 1 day out of the 2

Do the company supply the van. I was talking to a bloke who delivers for dpd and they have to rent the vans from the company, are self employed have to pay for fuel, adblue etc. I can’t imagine there’s much profit in doing it

Try Tombola, moderating their bingo sites, my uncle works funny shifts like you are asking. Plus you get to work from home.

There was about 10 - 15 years. Lads were making an absolute fortune. This was pre amazon free delivery and the likes. What was 1 - 1.50 a drop plus collections is down to about 40-50p. It was a goldmine

Always a need for Bus driver I'm told..give them a go... Meet people, go places and different shift systems to give a bit flexibility for family life...

Have you applied for the supermarkets they usually hire this time of yer for Xmas then always a chance to go permanent - Tescos by me (Bristol) is about £8.50 per hour for basic role
If you are in Sunderland then maybe a call centre - though that wont get you face to face with customers but get you into a larger work place, if you are looking for something unskilled

It’s through an agency, all I get told is what time and what place to pick up the van. Already loaded. All I do is just do the run as told and then return the van. Each van has a fuel card too. Easy money. Most drops on a run so far is four.
