Anyone not wanting Europe?

Even if you're Scunthorpe United and have a squad of 13 you still take European football if it's offered. Why? It's called ambition.

After watching 2 days of wall to wall bleating on about how tough Arsenal fans have had it for 22 years, I'm ecstatic that we're even in with a chance of Europe.
I was ranting n raving about that in the kitchen the other day when they were on about it on the wireless.

Our lass "well you'd be the same if it was yous."

"Aye, but we've not won the bugger since 1936! They've won four cups in the last ten years."

There was nee getting through to the daft woman.

4 years ago today we finally got promoted out of L1.

Here we are and some people are complaining that we might qualify for Europe based on our league position.

Unbelievable.

My 2c. If we get into European competition, we'll increase squad quality in terms of depth (we can field a Champions League qualifying strength team IMHO, but as we've seen this season, we don't have backup for it) over the summer which would probably give us a nominal campaign in Europa league while not at all jeopardising our Premier League team. The club put their money where their mouth is on the pitch, and we're 'a few' players short of having a top 5/6 Premier League squad (to allow for injuries) to then also add in European football would require us to add 'a few more'. Instead of 3-5 players needed, we'd probably need close to what we did last summer (although we're yet to Ta Bi and Angulo really at this point, so it may be that we aren't as lacking as we think..). Either way, beat Chelsea, hope United and Liverpool to do something and bring it on...

Can't believe I'm asking this but there's a few lads in work this morning saying we shouldn't be looking to win on Sunday as if we qualify for europe it all but guarentees relegation next year...

Just wondering if anyone shares the same opinion? For me it's a no brainer, opportunities like this don't come around often and we should be snapping the hands off it.
Originally I was one of the ones who was wary of getting into Europe.

I've changed me mind now.

f***ing BRING IT ON. HAWAY.

Oh no, please don't make me go to Florence, Alkmaar, Samsun, Nicosia or Rijeka.
Had this argument already.

"It will be Shelbourne at home on Thursday, Villa away on Sunday and away to some Armenian club the following Thursday. We'll end up in a relegation battle."

Sounds horrible. Give me the days of Bristol Rovers away on Tuesday and at home to Walsall at home on Saturday.
