Anyone had hip replacement surgery?

Had both mine done 14 years ago with Ceramic bowl, Mr Buchanan sadly passed away. In yesterday for a check To rule out any hip problems as I’m having facet joint injections soon as back pain is getting worse even after a Laminectomy, anyway both hip joints very sound and movement is good, Mr Nanu now uses the same method as Mr Buchanan did, yes it was hell for me lying on my back and getting little sleep but once on your side it all eases, keep the rehabilitation up though .

I had my op in Barcelona following an accident and was referred to some German doctor at Shields. He insisted the op had been totally unnecessary. I went private with Mr Buchanan who was absolutely fantastic and did my follow up for the next 5 years.
Since he retired i’ve never had it looked at. It’s probably the best joint in my body.
 


Husband had bilateral AMIS done at the end of February (privately in Ireland)
About 5 months on he's infinitely better and looking at going back to work as a roofer 6 months post-op
