Weren’t that bad at all?

-Got the club sustaining itself after was haemorrhaging it’s way to liquidation.
-Got rid of the problem staff and players
-Eventually got us promotion after a few unlucky misses

I’m not saying they were great and think their time is up now as we have moved up to the championship just saying that I never understood what was meant to be so bad about them. For me the Short reign was far worse and could have easily liquidated the club

They were awful. Donald especially in terms of trying to run the club, Methven in terms of being an all round nasty piece of work who couldn't stop himself from criticising Sunderland fans at every turn. We're very lucky that kld came in when he did and actually managed to get a deal done because we were only going one way with those two running the show

At the end of the day they just might have somehow been one of very few owners to leave a club in a better position and in better hands then when they took over . Here's hoping anyway .

They conned fans into changing the seats. because they didn’t want to pay for labour
Good business strategy though there was free labour who enjoyed feeling involved. I don’t understand this attitude that the club saving money is a bad thing why would we want the club paying a fortune for things they don’t need to pay for

Posted this over on 606 but seems right to post here too -

I think the pair of them miscalculated a few things about owning this club.
They didn't fully appreciate the scale of the rebuild or committed/had the relevant levels of finance to do it.
They underestimated the passion of the fans and the patience to 'become sustainable in League One' - we never will be a League One sized club.
They got carried away/purposefully misled fans on a number of things and then didn't like the backlash when found out.
They overestimated their own ability to understand SAFC, as well as overestimating their own football knowledge. Appointing Phil Parkinson ffs.
Overall they obviously intended to get it done in season one but when Jack Ross ballsed up their subsequent reactions to it showed us all how out of their depth they were. A really frustrating time to support the club but hopefully nothing more than an unpleasant memory from here on in.

Look, we all know you're an idiot. You don't have to continually prove it.

I know what you mean, think SD at first had his heart in the right place, but was quickly out of his depth.

This has got to be a wind-up.
