anyone booked a Hotel yet?

Looked a couple of weeks ago and prices were mental. If we get there I'll be forking out a fortune like - stuff like this always sorts itself out haha

Last night I booked a room on a flexible rate at the Travelodge KX for the friday and saturday night. £375.

Bit of a crazy price...but i can only see the cost going one direction, i.e. up....and its cancellable until noon on the day.

My biggest connundrum is that we are booked to be on a family holiday in Turkey at the same time. While the logistics would be possible for a cheap rtn flight to london and back to turkey, i cant see how the wife will agree to this. Its only 2 and a bit days, but an initial exploratory suggestion has not gone down well. Nevertheless, I thought wise to keep the door open, for now at least.

Im in turmoil to be honest....

😂 post in a few days…..

“Spare room available for wembley weekend”

Id written off the play offs n luckily go to texas between the semis n final somehow!

I’ve only just put in for the Friday and Saturday. Even then I felt sick and awful doing it. But if it’s approved then I will make the most of it.

Yes. Paddington. Free cancellation.
Booked it at full time yesterday.

Where mate? Always stay in Paddington but prices are crazy.

I originally booked the premier inn on the basin in Paddington, done it in December, got it for about £120 per man for 2 nights, but of course the bastards changed the dates, and now the cheapest I can find is £220 per man, but that means booking summit without free cancellation.

Cheapest I can cancel is £280 each man, Fuckoff.

If I wanted to go by train how would I do it?

I got hotel indigo, but I'm a IHG member and used points + cash. So brought it down to100 quid for the Friday night.
(All points gone now).

Had the Premier Inn booked at Waterloo when it was on the Monday for Sunday and Monday for just over 200 quid. Then the dates changed and for Friday/Saturday it was about 450 so changed to Uxbridge Premier Inn and will travel in and out if we make it.

Lovely hotel. We got moved into it for the pompey final as piledriving (fnarr) was going on at our hotel.
Breakfast was great.

Prices have been exorbitant (£200+) since the EFL confirmed the date a few weeks back  Cancellable room booked at Harrow.
I had a cheap Premier Inn in Harrow booked since August 2022 for the Monday then, EFL changed to Saturday and prices doubled 🤬

I am desperate to know what time do the trains run. How long it takes to get there. I must know what I need to do when I get to the correct train station. The logistical aspect of it is the most important part. I can book tickets when the time comes. But I have never been on a train to my knowledge. Maybe once or twice many, many, many years ago. Lots of supporters have because many are away fans. They have been as far as Bristol and Plymouth.

Any LNER heading towards Edinburgh should be fine mate.

If you have a SatNav I would check it is working properly and with updates fully installed on the floppy dick drive. If it isn't I would go to the manufacturer for a full refund or perhaps reboot it using an allen key in the USB-X terminal. Or alternatively open up the back of the device and put a wet finger on it to see if it is running the GOTO10 mode.

Benefit of living down south.

Wembley games are fine for me.

Having said that I'd booked Hilton by SoL a few weeks ago for this weekend.

Fully booked now so glad I did.

I think the best thing to do is to either go to Kings Cross and then hop on the Kings Cross-St. Pancras Underground on the Metropolitan Line to Wembley which should take about 37 minutes. It takes about 3 hours to get to Kings Cross from Newcastle Central but I think you can get to Sunderland for the train journey but there can be changes so I would advise going to Newcastle via the Metro. In my case from Boldon. Or you can get a taxi from Kings Cross Station to Wembley which shouldn't take long either. That is my advice based on the fantastic input I have had from everyone.

The KO is 4:45 pm so you have all day to get there.
