It's not a position that should have been politicised imo. It is a position that makes a huge difference into how crime is dealt with though. D

This by-election is costing the tax payer £2.5m. Then we go back to the polls in 10 months time to elect another one as we hit the normal electoral cycle. Shouldve just put a deputy in charge for a few months.
