Can't help you there marra. I worked in Duisburg for a bit, got a train to Essen for a few jars but didn't really explore

Yes,was there earlier this year. Duisburg and Essen seem to merge into each other,but it’s a good place if a little expensive for decent hotels.
Like most German cities it’s clean,had good public transport,road links and plenty to do.Decent place and I always found the people and service really good over there.
