Anyone got one of these? any good? thinking of getting one next week.
Is LED better than LCD?

Just bought one today from currys for £399,same price as comet.Told both that i was buying today and who would give best deal.both wouldn't budge on price but both offered screen clean and wipes worth £18(not a lot but something for nowt).
I took Currys only because i couldn't be arsed to go back to comet.TV is cracking, picture is class, recommend it highly.
That one for £369 looks like you have 30quid delivery charge,so may as well go to Currys or Comet and have a look yourself and try a bit of haggling.

That very "42LE4500" make?

Was it on a sale or is that just the price now?

yeh, i was in currys today looking at it and asking about the payment options. Is the SD picture good or just HD good? you cant really tell about the SD picture in the shop as your so close to it.

I suppose you could copy a program onto a USB stick and try playing it off that? I was thinking about doing this if I go in...

Looks good that like but it does not say how many hz it is got

That LED one is only 50hz. I had it reserved to go and buy yesterday, from Currys. So I went in and saw they had an offer on a 42inch LG that was also backlit LED, but at 200hz and also (which had the kids hooked) was 3d. It has loads of features like DLNA and internet tv, so you can use it for Youtube and pixmania and guff like that. It was on offer, reduced from £1700 to £499 (a bit of research shows that it can be got for £800 elsewhere, so nothing like the £1700) but it was just too good an offer. So I didn't get the one I originally went in for, but ended up spending the extra £100 to get the 3d one. Fuck knows why, I've never had any interest in 3d. Bloody kids.

Hz is refresh rate. The higher the better. Stops fast motion becoming blurry. The demo I saw showed formula 1 and you could see the tread on the tyres of the cars when played at the highest hz during a slow-mo section.
