Anybody Got A Bad Feeling About Michut?

I know it's all written and agreed at £2.5m/ £5m, wages agreed etc.

Surely Fulham know this also, so why are they constantly being linked with him?

Obviously they want to unsettle him here and land him for a couple of million to us in compo if we don't go up, say £4.5 m

Premier league, higher wages, closer to home, London lifestyle......it's a no- brainier tbh.

Unfortunately I can see a few more getting Premier moves as well. Namely Patto, Clarke, Neil.

Would be a shame but we all know that's the model.

I read about the Fulham interest and it mentioned our buy out clause only kicked in if we were promoted, not sure how true that is

Everyone makes mistakes in the market. We've made some (even though some on here would have you believe otherwise). We have to make sure we make as few as possible this summer and get to the first game with as full a squad as possible. Maybe one or two in between first game and end of window to allow TM or another manager if that changes to work with the squad. Most importantly we can't leave ourselves short in ANY area or the pitch next season.

Come on, you're back on your favourite obsession with strikers, again. We know. Now stop it. Find something nice to talk about, like having all summer to think of who we could buy after Ross signs his new contract. 🙄
If Ross signs we still need 3 up top. Its not like I'm the only one discussing the huge hole in our squad which continues to cost us points.

hopefully uncy'll persuade the lad to stay mate and we sign him and then peddle him sustainably for a decent and profit in january there

I agree, but you don't seem to be able to post without mentioning it. Everyone knows we are short of strikers, I believe there was even a one hour special on Azerbaijan telly the other night saying how we were short.

When we're discussing bringing players in its only natural it'd be part of the conversation. TM has mentioned it a lot recently why should we pretend its not priority 1 2 and 3 in the summer.

We get transfer cash.

If Premier clubs are wanting them they will have to pay Premier fees.

Speakman has done very well with minimum cash up to now.
The recruitment team IIRC. I'm sure KS would be the first to say its a team effort. Scouts find players and TM gives recommendations KS then attempts to do the deals, or not in some cases.

The model is to sell a player or 2 absolute tops at the top of the market value each season / transfer window.

If teams offer shit money we don't sell.

Nobody on this board knows the full ins and outs of the Michut loan / option to buy deal. I would be surprised if a premier league team was interested in him to be honest. Let's face it, he isn't in the top 10 championship midfielders. He obviously has potential but that's it at the moment.
I think Fulham clocked his potential in the FA Cup tie.

Your right, but we know, and there is nothing we can do about it at the moment.
As I said on 1st February it'll be top of the agenda until its resolved. Its costing points and all can see. I'm more relaxed than I was as I wrote season off when window closed. Every point won is a bonus for me. Its a case of get to the summer and hope we get less Stoke type results which would kill the kids confidence.
