But they were fairly young when they were DJ's. And the DJ's from the 60's & 70's started out on the more hip pirate stations.

They may have been young but they were only hip in the eyes of the house wives and the blind!
 
Although it was by accident, the period when those daft smashie and niches ruled was a radio system that worked much better than the modern one where everyone's trendy
