Any interest for a East Yorkshire supporters branch?

Yep, I’m in Bridlington. Didn’t know there were so many out here tbh, never see any out and about or in the pub if i pop in for a pint to watch a match.
Should be enough for at least a small coach from the central area Hull, Bev, York corridor stops to start with . If it picks up at York station its easy for the likes of Howden Selby Goole lads to get a quick train in .

It is a pain to get to York on the train, my daughter lives there and i can tell you the service is terrible. It would take 4 hours to get to the match from leaving home at least, if i drive it’s under 2. If there was a coach going from Hull up the east coast it would work better imho. What i envisaged as an East Yorkshire branch seeing as York is in North Yorks and some way inland, it’s 1 hour 15 in the car from Brid.

You read it wrong Marra, 1hr 15 to York. I can get to Sunderland sub 2 hours from Brid, if i drive to York it’s 1 hour 15 then 1 hour 30 to Sunderland from there, i’d be better driving direct Other than company / possible saving on fuel.
However it’s been suggested that i catch a train to Beverley and pick up the minibus there which would be tons better.

Sorry about that. Would be nice though!

No need for apologies Marra, read it back and it wasn’t massively clear 🤣. Yeah, lived in Donny until retiring to the coast last year, used to go up with the Donny branch on occasion in the 80’s / early 90’s, different experience travelling with a group, great company and great crack on the whole. Although there were a couple of strange characters in the Donny branch back then 🤣.

Strange for the real world or strange by Donny standards cos that sounds very strange indeed.

i am thinking about setting up a supporters branch for the East Yorkshire area but need to find if there is an interest for one. Post a reply if you would like to join a local branch in EY and would use the supporters match day transport.
2 of us in Hull. Would be interested in joining but going to the game is also an opportunity to visit my folks so the transport thing to home games wouldn't work for us.

Only a couple? I travelled with them mid to late 80s and there was a minibus full of em 🤣

Great set of lads though.

There have been some illustrious names too. Rob Mason (before my time) and Lance Hardy who I got to know at first travelling in that bus.

Occasionally. For the Huddersfield one however we'll be going direct from Kendal as we're away for a few days. Definitely happy to help out though for other games if we can .

Quite possibly  I was the baby of the group when I started going with them aged 14. To say it was an experience at that age is an understatement. Great memories though.
Small world, me and my younger brother were only in our late teens, 17 or 18, wet behind the ears and very nervous. Was an education to say the least. And at 14 you certainly weren’t one of the odd ones i was referring to 🤣.
