Any interest for a East Yorkshire supporters branch?

i am thinking about setting up a supporters branch for the East Yorkshire area but need to find if there is an interest for one. Post a reply if you would like to join a local branch in EY and would use the supporters match day transport.
Aye mate , id be up for it .

Does the North Yorkshire branch run any transport from / through York ?

The North Yorkshire branch is based in Knaresborough I think.

It’s a bit weird there isn’t a York branch because there are loads of supporters in the York area.

I am in Selby so not strictly East Yorkshire (by about 5 miles) but would be interested and my son and a couple of his mates would be interested in transport for away games etc.

Me and Jonny started the Bilbao Black Cats along with our kids making it 5 of us. A year and a half later, there are 20 or so of us.

Design a branch logo, get in touch with Chris Waters and the BLC then start spreading the word on social media that you're the official safc East Yorkshire branch, ask BLC and Chris and tag other popular SAFC accounts whether they are fans groups, journalists, fellow branches and ex players to see if they can retweet/repost your post looking for members.
or get Dall-E to do you one :)

Might be an idea to contact North Yorkshire Branch about combining branches if you get interest. Should save travel costs
An East Yorkshire branch could definitely pick up in York, if North Yorks don’t already.
NYSSAN based around Knaresborough don’t have a bus on. They tried about 20 years ago but the vastness of the county made it too difficult for pick up/ drop off points members living in West Yorkshire, Harrogate, Otley, York. Wetherby. Thirsk and Ripon. Over the years I’ve had phone calls from Easingwold. Fangfoss, Pocklington and Strensall asking about travel. The cost and time made NYSSAN reject the plan after trying it once, collecting at the A1 / A64 junction. The main reason was folk had to drive for miles to get to the collection/ drop off point and their aim was to go to the match early, have a drink etc which was impossible . Good luck to East Yorks fans but I fear you would have similar problems to overcome.

Unfortunately about 45 years too late for me! I travelled with the Doncaster branch to a few away games in the 70s - do they still exist?

Its still going but there’s little in the way of organised travel etc like there used to be. I travelled with them for a few years in the 80s on the minibus and still see a few of the old guard and get tickets through them now and again.

Yep, I’m in Bridlington. Didn’t know there were so many out here tbh, never see any out and about or in the pub if i pop in for a pint to watch a match.
