Surprised at that mind, not that you rate Hoffman higher, but that you rate him high enough that you think something must have happened behind the scenes. He’s fairly shit tbh. Doing an alright job for us but don’t really see why he’s starting over Hoffman, somethings clearly happened behind the scenes we aren’t aware of. I’d be surprised if he’s first choice next season, regardless of division.
Gravy stained postIs he a future star or are you worried?
When I’ve seen him he looks very hesitant on crosses. Wednesday have scored a lot of goals from corners recently.
Big pressure match - it looks a big ask to me for a keeper with so little experience.
What do you think?
Another “he didn’t cost x million therefore he’s shit” thread
Time some posters learnt the facts of life
Calling him 'fairly shit' is unfair and typical of your frequent cocky arrogance. Patterson has done well in pressurised circumstances and at his age is a rookie for a 'keeper. Hoffman was conceding a lot of goals and needed taking out. For me we have never replaced McLaughlin who was a more than competent 'keeper at this level. He’s fairly shit tbh. Doing an alright job for us but don’t really see why he’s starting over Hoffman, somethings clearly happened behind the scenes we aren’t aware of. I’d be surprised if he’s first choice next season, regardless of division.
Nah, nothing to do with the 6 goals conceded at Bolton - something must’ve happened behind the scenes!Hoffman was conceding a lot of goals and needed taking out.
Hoffman is not as good as Patterson. He’s fairly shit tbh. Doing an alright job for us but don’t really see why he’s starting over Hoffman, somethings clearly happened behind the scenes we aren’t aware of. I’d be surprised if he’s first choice next season, regardless of division.
or the 4 at Pompey, 5 at Rotherham, 3 at Sheff Wed etc etc...Nah, nothing to do with the 6 goals conceded at Bolton - something must’ve happened behind the scenes!
He's fine, not as good as some on here make out. Had very little to do most games over the past couple of months and most of the saves people go on about are saves you'd expect a keeper to make albeit the one down Oxford was an absolute belter.
If we go up then I'd hope we sign a new #1, if we stay in this division then I'd be alright with him being first choice.
Has he? I can’t remember him being directly at fault for any goal in particular. Another poster previously pointed out the Wycombe goal (Vokes I think) where he’s being pinned by at least one player on the line - clear as day foul in any other league bar this joke competition.best weve got - was worried when he first came in, had a few clangers but been solid since.
He really isn't.He's comfortably one of the best keepers in the division now.
Mad that teams don’t smash crosses in every game then lolSome ridiculous comments.
Apparently he shouldn't be singled out for an overwhelming flaw in his game. One which, rest assured, will be exploited by any scout with working eyes. In fact I take that back.
Stevie Wonder could figure out a gameplan for us. His shot stopping and distribution look solid and give him a great foundation but he'll die a death as a keeper unless he can come for crosses.
To say he's comfortably one of the best keepers in the division now after half a shaky season is just plain lying.
Were those and the 6 at Bolton entirely his fault? Have to say I don't have a good memory on the ones we concedeor the 4 at Pompey, 5 at Rotherham, 3 at Sheff Wed etc etc...
He looks like he would be the type of person to scream out their pin number as he is being folded into a sports holdall. However he doesn't play like that a very decent GK who is going to get better.
