Anthem bricking consoles



I'd love to know at what point EA realised it was going to be too shite and decided to put Apex Legends out at the same time to save face.

As gamers we can't keep pre-ordering this 'games as a service' shit. Too many games are being released in a broken/unfinished state. They'll carry on doing it as long as we get sucked in by huge advertising campaigns and streamer/YouTubers etc. Unless a game is presented to proper gaming journalists in a state whereby they can assess say the first year of a release, they shouldn't review any 'game as a service'. Otherwise we are just being targeted with a game that is deliberately just shit enough to get us to see a better game in there to stay fiscally attached to them.

Bungie, bioware and Bethesda have pretty much ruined their reputations trying to serve up this bullshit.

Lootboxes can fuck off anarl.

The only good thing about this mess is that Sony are seemingly giving refunds, no questions asked, for anyone who bought it digitally.

Agree with all that, but at least some people are waking up especially after the Battlefront 2 bollocks. More and more are strongly against unfinished games renamed live services, loot boxes and holding out content for DLC and games like Battlefield V have paid for it. Hopefully others follow suit and people start putting their foot down and maybe publishers will then realise why their sales are falling.
 
Apart from the flying it's shite. It's just "stand here, defend this object from a horde" or "go collect 7 of these things". Level design is woeful. The loot is woeful, mental considering it's a loot based game. At least destiny had hundreds of different guns/armour/colour variations. This has fuckall.
