Another summer of terrible recruitment

Im not impressed tbh. Signed 4 so far and we have one definite starter?

Matthews seems to be backup keeper so we are weaker there as mclaughlin is better than burge

Feeney sounds promising but only played around 3 games at the age of 21 and also wont be a starter

O’Brien dury out atm. Doesnt look like he will start in the team, maybe grigg ahead of him going off pre season. Said hes come here to play as a striker as the manager has said, seems to not have played there in years though.

Wright is of course a good signing and one of the first names on the team sheet.

Parky went on about only signing players to go into the first 11 but that certainly isnt the case once again. Massive improvement still needed imo but i am not confident

Tbh i would give neil a chance for certain

I'm not clued up on if we can leave signed players out and not count them. So someone else might be able to answer that one. I agree with incentives like a promotion bonus, however from a players point of view it's down to them as they are taking a big chance when moving up here.
Seem to be able to, Peterborough have left four contracted players out and made them available for transfer.

But Parkinson isn't giving them much of a chance pre-season. After Diamond's reponse to being brought on against Gateshead why didn't he start the following game? Bringing them on for ten minutes here and there is not an opportunity, which we all know will be the case when the league season begins, that's if they're not loaned out beforehand. Throw them in, give them a real opportunity and see how they perform, either that or bring in players we know are better than what we already have.

diamond did start the next game at left wing back

Where’s the goalscorer we were desperate for? Where are wingers with pace? Where’s the goalscoring creative midfielder we need? Where is the natural right back and a left back who can defend? Seems very much a case of 3rd time lucky with same plodders. Why haven’t we been transfer listing a few players such as Wyke?

Who in their right minds would want any of our dummies

you have to remember we can’t rely on these 3 all season they are young players who need to be looked after!

embo can be very good however currently going down the injured every few weeks route so needs to be looked after

diamond and Neil have done well but we haven’t exactly played anyone of note can’t expect them to play week in week out

He like Matthews will cost us a lot of points
Why do you think this mate.

Every manager wants to win the game, if those lads are good enough they'll be in the team.
It's not as simple as that tho is it? Managers throughout history have preferred players who the rest of us think shouldn't be anywhere near the first eleven. That goes on at every club every Saturday afternoon.

McGeady is good enough to get in our team.
Clearly not..

The difference being you and me are not working with those players every day..

We are somewhat worse off with the keeper, and much better off at centre half. The rest of the team is pretty much identical to last season. Unless OBrien, Neil and Diamond can make things happen it's going to be ugly.

Tbh I still think we can get promoted and I think we would have been there abouts if the season was finished last year, but I cant say that I think it will be pretty.

We are also counting on Grigg and Wyke to find some form.

Don't think the defence is much better off. Better than the start of last year due to having bailey Wright, but no change from Jan
