Another rubbish ref

What I simply don't understand about these threads is logic just totally goes out the window.

All refs are shit?

Well why is that, plenty call them but nobody is prepared to discuss the reasons behind it?

See you still unwilling to look for the reasons why, if you believe standards are poor why is that?

Is it too hard? or is it built into a refs DNA, that they good all their career, but turn shit soon as they enter the premier league.

I think it's simply too difficult for one pair of eyes to make correct decisions in today's modern football, soo mistakes are inevitable?

Not trying to be awkward mate, really not, but I honestly cannot understand why fans don't say.

'f***ing hell for one bloke with one pair eyes, with all the cheating, directives, confusing over the rules, pace of the game we making his job near enough impossible,we need to help this bloke'

Rather than constantly berating them with words like idiots.

The thing is Hank, all they would say is from the one look I had I thought it was foul/offside etc, replays may prove me wrong, but that's what I thought at the time.

Surely we no that answer without it been explained?

the refs and the linesman have hard jobs to do and it is not made easy by cheating players and bad rules ie offside. the other issue I have is that I feel they are all being fed from the same trough, so it then becomes difficult or uneasy for an accessor to criticize a performance and may also want to even it out so it aint too bad.

we need to stop beating refs and linesmen with sticks. The linesman from a standing start has to react to players who have already sprinted off, so that is not going to be easy.

in return for not beating the officials, we need to be informed and not lied to. An official can only see something from one angle, so if a tv camera shows something different from another angle so be it and retrospective action be taken. we need to support the referees and if it is explained what they see, maybe things would be different.

media have a lot to answer to. if the rules are off the ground two footed challenge is a sending off, then its a sending off. the rules should not change as to depending who is playing. and he is not ooh only just offside. he is offside. he is not entitled to win a penalty in those circumstances, its still cheating. refs, if a player is fouled, he is fouled. he doesn't have to fall about in agony.

our game against hull one of our players was penalised because a hull player went to knee height to head a ball, and our player took a swipe. yesterday one of their players done a virtual scissor kick at the ball which was head height and our player backed off for obvious reasons and no foul. again the argument is consistency as with all decisions. our problems yesterday will never be aired or viewed properly as we are not important. just like the FA thought when they were deciding to take their time with allardyce appointment. we will take our time is what they said. not giving a flying cuss about our predicament.

Yeah some very good points there mate,I am certainly all for showing clips/highlights from a refs view, thus making it more clear how difficult it is.

Consistency is a word used that I simply don't like, because consistency when giving similar fouls etc from different views angles will never be achieved and IMO it's naive to expect that.

Surely nobody could dispute if players were banned after the game or teams were deducted points for very clear cheating then there would be less cheating, thus making a refs job easier.

Just touching on your last point,I do agree that when a team like us get a wrong decision it is certainly not discussed a great length and not mentioned as much in the media as say a top 4 team.

But don't agree with the point about Sam, I think the FA were right to take their time appointing the England manager, because I happen to think it's still the most important job in the country, and think would have still took the same time, whichever club he was at.

Madley was appalling yesterday. It was clear as day Mazzarri had instructed his players to go to ground and look for free kicks - because Watford were outmuscling us on them.

Let me get this straight you belive you wouldn't make the same mistakes that every ref in the world makes? Have you ever made a call from the stands them looked back and been proved wrong?
Look, I dont want to be a referee but I wouldnt do it if I was as poor as some of these. Did you watch the game yestersay and the Andre Marriner circus? Because if you did and you are still defending them your judgement is seriously questioned.
And yes we all can occasionally get it wrong but numerous wrong calls is not occasionally

Or just like players he could have had a bad game yesreday and good games in other games.

Do you think that is logical or else would not have got promoted to premier league in the first place if dire all the time?
I dont know why he is refereeing there, especially after yesterday

The pure undeniable fact is that no matter what person became a referee and worked there way upto the premier league they'd still make a number of really bad decisions. The fact are there for all sensible people to see. How many times have you got to see a ref have a bad game or make a bad decision before you realise that with one look at full speed from one angle it's not as easy as you think?

But to get so many wrong, many blatant, is incompetence.

So every ref who has ever reffed the game is incompetent? Why is it thst no ref ever can go through a number if games without getting a number of things wrong?

Why hasn't there been a ref our of the many thousands who have done the job who not made any mistakes?

You said that I didnt. If they all ref like Marriner and Madeley they need to go. But they dont, some get it right most of the time, these two didnt. Marriner is poor every time we see him.

Can you remember Madley reffing our game against Newcastle last season or Marriner awsy at Norwich last season?
