Another rubbish ref

We have to far to often

What are these assessors watching?
I that is an issue, who are the assessors. most ex players / referees I believe. the ex players say a player has a right to win a penalty or he was only just offside. If these ex's at all tied in the same pot, then they wont want to rock the boat as they will have to get of their gravy train.

Think he was better in the second half. Wonder if he watched some highlights of his performance in the 1st half. It's something they should do I think. Give them a chance to right some wrongs in the same game.
I thought that because he suddenly stopped the giving of fouls when a player fell over. you could litererally see it in the players face wtf you gave me one in the 1st half

In the first half he gave a free kick against Love for patting their player on the back , in the next ten minutes they went through the back of our players five times with no recourse until eventually they got so out of hand he gave free kick when one of them literally scythed through one of ours in the North West corner.
The throw in given by the west stand lino when the ball stopped on the line still two inches in play was laughable. PVA (I think it was) had to look to the ref for confirmation before daring to pick it up

Someone somewhere will have made a few Bob on the free kick count mind.

Watford need to work on their set pieces, if they couldn't score against us with the number they had then they'll struggle this season.
Mind they were poor today, Success is worse than most pub team players

He was clueless. I hate it when a player dives - like Amrabat did - Ref plays on and then didn't book the player. The only way we can stamp out diving is by punishing the players when they do.

Yep but it has to be after the match, there will simply be loads of times where ref is simply not sure whether a foul or that a player dives, players are too good at it now and the game is simply too quick.

Well that explains it. Referees seem to get away with murder. They never have to answer for their mistakes. Yes they have a hard job but they don't make things easy for themselves. They need to be more consistent, they give a foul for something and then another time the exact same thing happens and they wave play on.

That is probably because he would have been in different postition for the second foul, different view, different angle, further away, closer, there is loads of different variables.

Consistently because of above is simply impossible, refs have never been consistent and never will, because depending on your angle view, similar fouls can look different from different angles, you see that all the time on highlights programmes when it shows the different camera angles.

And so the regular excuses arrive

There is a key difference between valid reasons and excuses and they regular because they are fact.

It is a undisputable fact, that all refs decisions are made from different angles and different lengths, therefore IMO considering this ,it's naive to expect consistency.

You defend these useless idiots every week. Admit it he was rubbish.

He didn't have the best of games mate, but to call them use less idiots is simply farcical

How do you think every one of them has worked their way from the bottom of their profession to the top of their profession any ideas?

I will take a wild guess and say it's not because there idiots.

That linesman in front of the west stand didn't have a clue what day it was.

That clearance in the 1st half that he flagged for going out, then tried to slowly lower his flag when he realised it hadn't was laughable
He didn't flag for PVA  he was miles off ffs

He was poor. The handball freekcik at the end - when the ball hit the watford player on the shoulder was shocking.

Overall, one of the better performances this season from a ref.
