Bobby Madeley

Well that explains it. Referees seem to get away with murder. They never have to answer for their mistakes. Yes they have a hard job but they don't make things easy for themselves. They need to be more consistent, they give a foul for something and then another time the exact same thing happens and they wave play on.

Equally he could easily have booked Denayer, Papy and N'Dong and let a few questionable tackles go by all three of them. And we don't need any of them picking up suspension.

I think he was generally shite rather than favouring Watford.

He was woeful but you can't call referees on here.

I've tried having reasonable discussions on here in the past about poor refs but it just doesn' t happen.

He was shite

As ive said for a while you need independent refereein away from the FA and corporate interests

The hand ball at the end I'm not sure he was going to give it until the crowd shouted handball, did he think the home crowd would shout for hand ball if it was against us. I had a horrible feeling they'd equalise from the free kick because it would be typical of our bloody luck

How many times gave we seen something like it?

Yeah he was poor for both teams - just seemed to miss obvious ones and then go out of his way to see things that didn't happen.

Yes and today, again, it was against us

Appalling officiating today. They gave a couple of awful decisions our way (PVA being about 6 foot offside in the first half, and Denayer making the most blatant foul ever in the middle of the pitch) but he gave even more shit decisions the other way. The phantom handball could have cost us the win.

One of the worst offsides you're likely to see  amazing how the linesman didn't see that.

Think he was better in the second half. Wonder if he watched some highlights of his performance in the 1st half. It's something they should do I think. Give them a chance to right some wrongs in the same game.

I actually thought Denayer's blatant foul was even more ridiculous. I think everyone in the stadium thought he'd blown for a free-kick, the commentators were discussing what a clear foul it was, and somehow the game just kept on going.

Anichebe suffered Niall Quinn syndrome. Because he is big he can't be fouled.

This. Gets on my nerves this. Referees let defenders get away with murder when they're up against a big fucker.
