Annual pay rise lottery

We've had one 4 percent pay rise in 6 year and we used to get a bonus every 3 month of up to a grand. Now get nowt and still expecting fook all. What a time to be alive.

initial offer of 5%, £500 and 5 days extra holiday next year has been rejected. They’re coming back with their ‘final offer’ next week 🙄

Working in the corporate world, there is no such thing as an initial offer. It's always "take it or leave it".

We’re giving our staff a 10% rise but since we told them we do that things have turned to shit and we’re probably going to go bust so instead of a 10% rise they’ll probably end up without a job. Shit, shit and more shit.

Work for the NHS, got £900 annual rise in April, then they re-introduced car parking charges which are £25/month

Fuck knars….but at least getting something after nowt the last couple.

If I was a betting man I’d say 3% but all will be revealed on 1st Dec.

Ironically, even the last 2 years with no pay rise, the bonus was still paid out at the full %….hopefully the same again, especially as traditionally I spilt it 4 ways with the lasses in the house :)

They’ll come back with a marginally ‘better’ offer. Their stance is that the 5 extra days holiday next year equate to 2.5%. Rather just have the extra 2.5% 😂

It's cheaper for them to pay the extra money as a one off bonus than adding it to base salary.

Aye, get that but when the world of automotive had gone to shit during the pandemic, I just found it odd that we still hit the performance metrics….not complaining like :)

Is this the pub you're talking about mate? Hope you can turn things round.

I get a pay rise every 6 months based on performance. So if I hit my targets consistently it goes up 2k a year :D then we get an increase in April too. Woo.

It’s shit that but people on cushy wages etc or decent working rights have usually put the draft in to get there.
