We are just starting initial discussions
For a pay rise in spring
What are others getting or expecting ?

No chance will we match inflation but I was hoping we may get 5-7%? Unsure what going rate is at moment

Go on the dole. Looks like 10% for benefits....

Our pay offer would give me 9.5% but most will only get 2%. They had a budget of 3% overall but are focusing on people at the bottom of their pay bands in dividing up the 1% and i am one of the lucky few. Obviously loads who were less lucky than me are kicking off about it so the unions are still considering their position. I'll believe it when its confirmed.

My place have just agreed (with Unite) 5% on Jan 1st, another 4-6% depending on position in band on July 1st next year.
I'll be looking at a total of 11% by the time July rolls round

Just moved to a new job and the pay for all has been bumped up by £1,900. And the job I’ve just left, a rise of the same was announced so I’m chasing seven months’ worth of back pay from them. Both public sector roles.

Not sure - we got 3% at the start of the year then another 4% in August as a ‘cost of living’ gesture.

We don’t negotiate really, just get what we’re given.

Although public sector pay rises have been dismal for years I prefer not to have to be involved in negotiating every year. Since it largely takes it out of my hands there isn't the stress it seems to cause quite a lot of people.
