He's always been decent but incredibly injury prone and thats not going to improve with age.

He's not the answer, squad player at best but proving useful atm

Signing of the season! If we keep him on the park we are gonna score enough goals between him and Defoe.

Apparantly he is fitter than he has been in his whole career and the thought is that his injuries are well behind him and its really telling at the moment.

Props to Moyes as well for not only signing him but playing him with the tactics he has been.

The commentators actually mentioned that he just "walked" through the game. That's all a pudding his size needs to do, and it'll hopefully keep him from getting mullered.

Missed last game but sounds like he had another stormer. I was one that thought he was f***ing shite (to be fair most did going from his record) and like before hold my hands up and glad to say he is proving us all wrong.

Let's just hope it continues and he can keep fit. Just what we were missing. Not only a big biff upfront to get onto our high hoofballs and hold it up but also another striker to help Defoe out and smash the defenders about for him.

I for one laughed at the decision to sign this lad and I hold my hands up and admit I know fuck all:lol:
He's gonna be every bit as important as Defoe if we are gonna stay up again.
Another excellent performance from the lad. Two quality finishes and excellent hold up play.

He's they type of player we've been needing for years and the type of player Sunderland fans love - big, strong, aggressive and causes defences all sorts of problems. I like what I've seen so far and I hope he keeps it up!

Reet hes been very good last two games but lets not get carried away

Hes been absolutely shite practically all of his career man.
You're talking shite.

I said that if you can get Vic firing, very good signing.

Maybe being released by us and then no one coming in for him until Sunderland, very late on, has been the kick up the arse he needed.
I watched the game he played in for your lads against Stoke on the TV last season. He hammered their back line all game till he got injured.
He plays more like this than people realise. The big thing is keeping him injury free.
