I cant believe the way people are going on about anichebe here like

Do yous not watch the premier league? Hes been capable of performances like this all his career man but on the whole hes shite
Before the last two games I'd have agreed but he's brought something that was sadly lacking, there are a few players in this squad who are shit, at the moment he's not one of them.

a potent strike force can paper over any inefficiencies in any side. cos you can play shite, struggle to break teams down but hoy it up to thr big man and hope something falls for him or other striker. its not quite tiki taka football but it can be very effective

Our fans don't like this kind of play. We like direct, physical attacking football. And quite rightly so.

These Quinn and Phillips comparisons are funny. Not just because Anichebe has played two games, but because the game has moved on 15 years since then and Anichebe is playing as a wide forward. It was funny yesterday how many people seemed to think we were playing 4-4-2. Do these people not even watch the game? Or are they so feckless they can't see what positions players are standing in, and think that a big striker and a little striker means that we are playing 4-4-2?

I for one laughed at the decision to sign this lad and I hold my hands up and admit I know fuck all:lol:
He's gonna be every bit as important as Defoe if we are gonna stay up again.
Another excellent performance from the lad. Two quality finishes and excellent hold up play.

Done well there Moyes.

I was scratching me head thinking why bring in a player who can't get a game for anyone else.

But, he's scored goals that have earned us points, not goals when we're 3 down and out of the game - so well done to the lad and Moyes for bringing him in.

If he only gets 7 all season but they're goals that win us matches then he will more than have earned his wages.

That's because you are a clueless ginger bender !

He's class. Maybe it was just the injuries that have held him back over the years. He's a very intelligent player too which makes a nice change.
He's thick as fuck !

People are just judging him off what hes done here so far. Hes been top drawer in the first 2 games hes started.

Loved it in the second half when he grabbed the ball, nutted it then punched it into the ground in front of the fans. He was loving it. And that was before his second I think.

Did you not see his performance?

He was by far the best player on the pitch, for the 2nd game in a row, that is all people are saying

Yet again people trying to criticise the fans for no reason again, very strange

Are you pissed?

He is the reason why we won the last 2 games

If he isn't there, we don't win either

Why do some people get off on criticising the team?

I'm not getting carried away like

Because anichebe will score about 5 goals and defoe wil probably get around 15-20

People are getting far too carried away by anichebe here mind

I think he will score nearer ten, but without him Defoe will get 10 - 15 goals. It's not just the goals that are important it's also the fact that his hold up play takes pressure off the defence.

i never laid in to anichebe as it was clearly a panic buy and we needed another striker desperately. after the last two performances denayer on the other hand might be deserving a few apologies after being (justifiably) slated for his earlier games at full back

Yes, Denayer played well and may be needed with all the injuries and if anything only to keep Rodwell out the team

Averaged 2.5 goals a seasons playing as striker for the past 10 years

Let's not get carried away eh?
I don't think people are getting carried away with his scoring record, it's the fact that he can hold the ball up and help defoe a bit...

We know he's not very good man. But credit where it's f***ing due, eh?

If anything, he must know this is his last chance at a Prem Club so hopefully he will give it his all, he said in his interview when we signed him in the past he has been lazy etc, now he feels he has grown up etc etc. Anyway it could be all talk but in the 2 games he has started for us he has made the difference, which can only be a good thing.
