You did neither and only posted it to other people, not to me.

You took a comment about a specific game and twisted it to 'prove your point'.
I posted it in a thread about toivenon, I even tagged you in post, not sure how much more specific I could be! There was nothing to twist either, it was there for all to see. Now if you'd just laughed the comment off like you are now then fair enough, didn't quite happen though did it. Don't let that stop you lecturing posters though.

Important life lesson that should be learned at a young age, if you want to laugh at others you have to accept being laughed at. I have zero problem with it at all

I'll often post things that I know will get me laughed at.

It's like me going to a match in a daft hat or whatever, or taking a cardboard Anichebe Santa .... as long as it makes people laugh that's fair enough by me.

No problem but that's what you did.

Why should I laugh it off when you were incorrect and posted the lie on multiple threads?

Would make a decent thread this like  I'd be interested in what a few posters on here have gotten spectacularly wrong

@Howard the Duck @Botchie @Billy Batts @Perryqhill @Coeus
I got Defoe's off the pitch persona wrong. I always thought he was a proper twat, your typical footballer. He seems anything but.

I thought Danny Rose wouldn't be any good for us having seen him at left wing for Spurs and the England U21s, I think I did say that I hadn't seen him at left back much and would reserve judgement if that was where he was going to play.

I liked Allardyce as a character far more than I thought I would, I thought he was an egotistical, self serving prick before he joined us. I still thought he was after but I realised he was quite charming and amusing with it.

I'm sure there's probably loads more. I know you say I'm always positive about the club but I'm actually not sure that's the case. I just think I'm consistent but this place swings in mood to extremes either side of me. When this place is overwhelmingly positive I'm more negative than most and find myself posting like Hughbert disagreeing with everyone (I found myself massively putting the dampeners on our end of season achievements). When it's negative I'm more positive than them so seem like a happy clapper. It just so happens that this place is negative about the club infinitely more than it's positive (understandably when you consider how we've performed over the years). Either that or maybe I'm just a contrary prick!

I literally said on a thread about toivenon, that I tagged you in that you claimed toivenon was settling on nicely, this in I believe was his last appearance he was that bad. You even said I couldn't comment because I wasn't there! Do you not comment on games tho watch on TV?

I said Defoe couldn't play lone strikers role!

'Rat faced mercenary' was what I posted about my perception before he came to Sunderland

I always think I have a decent argument behind any of my views and I avoid going off at the deep end, for example I was questioning Moyes earlier in the season but I never once thought or posted I wanted him sacked. It's hard analyse yourself as a supporter as there is a lot of emotion involved so I normally just think I'm full of shit and a hypocrite

You've never bumped me, as you claimed.

You've never quoted me, as you claimed.

You took a comment about a specific game and implied I was speaking generally.

I've been on here since that game, when you weren't even on the thread, and spoken about why I said what I did.

Exactly as it should be mate.

You are splitting hairs man, I tagged you and quoted the exact thread in which you said it, on a thread about toivenon as well. You wriggled and squirmed calling me a pathetic little man and claiming I couldn't comment as wasn't there. Now if you just said you were half cut and waffling as you have since then that would've been that but you couldn't bring yourself to do it. Like I said you carry on lecturing though I think this is a good little thread for posters to laugh at themselves, something you struggle with. I'll leave you with last word as that's clearly your modus operandi on this forum.

What I actually said, "I'm at the match and he's settling in nicely.
He's been shaky in previous games though."

Nothing like what you 'quoted'.

If you're insisting you have you're a liar.

I'm not splitting hairs, what you're claiming is untrue, simple as that.

He had been awful and barely if at all played again, you've even said the comment was drink fuelled and laughed if off.
All I said was that you said he was settling in nicely, that's it. Nothing misquoted, nothing twisted nothing.
You even said just after that he was "settling in nicely with others at the club". How you came to that conclusion I've no idea!

You posted it on numerous threads and made out I'd said something different to what I said.

And tbh I'd hardly claimed he was a superstar or the best player Sunderland had ever had.

If that minor insignificant comment is really worth you repeating over and over then it's pathetic.

You never bumped the thread so you were wrong.

You never quoted me so you were wrong.

I've quoted what I said and it's nothing like your claims, it was obviously about one half of one game.

You were wrong, as I've just pointed out, but never have the wherewithal to just say, fair enough.

I posted on numerous threads as you didn't have the wherewithal to just say fair enough. If You had that would've been that.
The bumping and quoting is hairsplitting. I posted the link and tagged you to which you got all defensive and abusive.
I've also told you what I said and it was quoting what you said which was "he was settling in nicely" which you repeated not long after by claiming "he was settling in nicely with others at the club".
Why don't you tell me how what I've said has misrepresented what you said? I clearly haven't and you know it.

I don't believe you did but as you deliberately block your history I've no way of checking.

So, to prove you're not actually a liar just hoy the link up again.

Pointing out that your claims of bumping the thread or quoting me are false isn't splitting hairs, it's fact.

Oh and my post history isn't blocked, go into top corner put my name in the poster bit then you'll see whatever you want.

Still waiting of him to look like Altidore tbf

Good. TBF I was talking in terms of finishing rather than overall play as I've always thought Anichebe's play was decent, but lacked in front of goal. Altidore just lacked everywhere.

I can only speak for myself but, although I question our signings, I always want them to do well.

My problem is with people who proudly declare a player 'shite' and cringe when they're proved wrong.

To me that's putting themselves before the club so I can't respect them.

It's easy for them to come back on a dozen times saying they were right but seemingly impossible to admit they were wrong.

Haven't read the rest of the thread, but there are some who seem to revel in a player failing if they've deemed them shit on signing and I'm mentioning no names but it does happen. I know this in the scheme of things doesn't matter a jot but I'd much rather be proven wrong than blindly stick to my guns at all expenses, especially when the club generally suffers as a result of said player failing.

So, as I said, you twisted what I said from it being one half of one match to being a comment about Toivenon in general ..... pathetic.

You've repeated that on various threads as if I'd made outrageous claims.

And you also choose to make your very first comment on that thread entirely about me ...... as you often do.

It's pathetic but how you love to spend your time on here.

Since Sunderland's win against Watford I haven't seen a single post from you about it ... childish arguments seem to be all that interests you.

I twisted nothing, absolutely nothing. I quoted exactly what you said (settling in nicely) and that's it. Rather than just accepting it you decided to go on the personal which you often do. I've only quoted you on here as given your form I can't believe you've got the nerve to start telling people to chill out about bringing up old threads. It gets done to you and it's straight on the attack as proven with toivenon thread.
I've discussed Watford game and particularly denyar performance which was excellent.
You can't comment on that game though as you weren't there and I was. That's your rule isn't it?

It's sad but some people are so childish they love to criticise anything Sunderland at a time when people are low.

There are some really snide specimens on here tbh.

You started off your very first post on that thread by getting personal with me and do it on thread after thread.

And here you are yet again ...... what a sad man.

I thought signing Vic was the cheap shit option yet again, expected nothing from him. But he has been excellent for us, a powerhouse up front who we can hit the ball to and can rely on him to hold it up, bulldoze his way forward and get us up the pitch. Has a very good first touch for a big lad and looks surprisingly quick when he runs at defenders. Absolute beast, he's class.

Delighted I was so wrong about him.
