Steve Bruce has remarked on Marcos Angeleri's progress on the training ground.

The Argentinian has struggled to establish himself in the first-team picture since moving from Estudiantes in the summer.

Fans have had brief glimpses of the 27-year-old old in the reserves, but he is yet to make a first-team appearance.

However, Angeleri - capped once by his country - has impressed manager Bruce in training in the last couple of weeks after getting over some injury problems.

And the manager expects him to only get stronger, revealing: "The one thing I've always said is it takes the South American lads time. It's the first time two of them have seen snow today.

"They're adapting. Certainly Angeleri has shown us what he's all about during the last couple of weeks.

"He hurt his knee playing against Benfica in pre-season and that put the collywobbles up him a bit."

I'm confused. I was led to believe he was a lame duck, surely the know-alls can explain this to me? After all, we only bought him cos we were forced to. They couldn't have been talkin shite tho, could they? Hmmmmmm.

Honestly can't wait to see him play for the first team (if he does), he was the player I was most excited about that we signed this season (this was before we got Gyan like).

Hopefully he can kick on from here and put his injuries behind him. Could see him starting the FA Cup game in January, if we get a very beatable team.

does this mean Onouha to centre back and Angeleri in at right back for Wolves, or am i reading too much into it...

Anton out, Angeleri in, Nedum to cb...nah bet he hasnt impressed him that much.

He's made the bench the last couple of games so must be in contention for a start Sat with Bramble and Turner out

I don't know what to think about all this Angeleri business but have never believed the story that we had our hand forced and had to buy him against our wishes.
He has been capped for Argentina man, he must be okay.

I hope you're right but Maradona was handing out caps like there's no tomorrow when he was manager.
