Must see some game time now that Turner and Bramble are out.
I'm not confident with Ferdinand playing at all anywhere and Bardo is doing great at left back.

Only other ting is to move Bardo to right back, Rico at left back and Mensah with PDS or Onuoha at centre half I suppose....:neutral:

First time they've seen snow.

I can just imagine Angeleri and Riveros frozen like snowmen on the training ground

The first time they have seen snow.Has Bruce had them out on there sledges, surely not training today:-D

aye i think theyll have to play over the next few weeks

We might get a surprise and see Marcos Angeleri play on Saturday, who knows.

I find this constant sniping at Ferdinand quite odd really considering he played for the first time for yonks. He wasn't great, but he didn't do anything disastrous on Monday night. What he did look was rusty, which is hardly suprising really; but only as rusty as Darren Bent looked., and his distribution was nowhere near as wayward as the much lauded Jordan Henderson, who clearly needs a rest. Give the bloke a chance. he's not a bad player but he does need games to get his sharpness. As for his 'calamity' reputation; he does drop the odd clanger (just like Bramble eh?) but nowhere near enough to warrant such adverse publicity as he gets on here. I'd have every confidence in him as long as Bruce does.

Collywobbles

They don't like it up 'em you know...

Weird, coz it snows in Argentina.

PS: Or maybe Bruce is talking about Riveros and Da Silva.

It snowed last year so Da Silva must have seen snow.

Maybe he was talking about Craig Gordon ;)

It's the effect he has on those around him, particularly Gordon, that means he shouldn't play. Ferdinand back at centre half means the old jittery Gordon back in goal. There's no trust there whatsoever for whatever reason and we'll suffer for it.

Agree. imo Ferdinand tends to muck things up *after he's been in the team for a while*. It's concentration with him. And on his first few games back it tends to be high.

It's Gordon that is meant to command his defence. Look at the shite defenders Shay Given played behind at Newcastle, far worse than Anton, and he was still consistently world class. You can't blame Anton for Gordon's slightly dodgy game on Monday night.
