This thread is very depressing as your reminding me of all the great players we had
Anyway fcuk off Neil Critchley you Ashley from Corrie sounding gonk
Hopefully some of your shit players too ;)

I kept thinking of players who played for us too - Byrne, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Liam Miller, Leighton James, Clive Walker. and Danny Dichio. Had missed you had Cisse

You were still in the game until the pen got saved and we needed some good defending to keep you out, though I am surprised to see you had as many as two shots on target.

Who could come in and turn things around?

Mate we have been poor since the World Cup finished , there was a lot of talk with you boys on this board in the past re Speakman being poor at his job etc my god you want to have Les Ferdinand as your DOF , love him as a player but he has been here 8 years and we have progressively got worst year on year
His signings bar a few have been poor and the managers we have had just as bad (bar Warburton who fell out with him)
We wasted the Eze & parachute payment money which we couldn’t afford to do , the naitives here are now getting restless and there’s further talk of FFP hitting us hard at the end of the season especially if we go down
As for who comes in , I would give it to Ainsworth as he gets the club and wants the job only problem being we have Critchley 3 months into a 3 year deal

I was speaking to a QPR supporter after our play off final win and he told me then he was your next manager. Wonder why it didn't happen?

I've seen that about FFP and with the mess clubs like Derby got into it is a genuine worry especially because it is so far out of the reach of fans.

Ainsworth is a very good manager but really needs to be given his head and that seems something Les might be a barrier to. At Sunderland there is much talk of 'the model' which is fine as long as it works, at QPR it seems to be the obstacle to appointing somebody effective.

If QPR need relegation to appoint Ainsworth I'd say that would massively disrespects him. For much ofvthe late 70s and 80s you were the top performing club in London and always had a few flair players tocatch the eye. I can see how galling this 8s now.

For what it's worth I think you will survive, I actually expected worse than you played last night. If you can get a win in the next two games (a point v Boro would be good) a bit of belief might remind the players 9f how you started the season. The same problems will be there next season though if the club structure doesn't change. Good luck

Ferdinand doesn’t like him apparently
We had Warnock for about 3 games again a few years back , this was when Ramsey was manager , the word was the board appointed Warnock with none the wiser Ferdinand was fuming and it was a case of him or me Warnock then went to Rotherham, this is why Ainsworth won’t get it as he considered to old school instead of the trendy manager type

The players have downed tools and don’t fancy Critchley one bit
The likes of Tyler Roberts and jake Clark salter are constantly injured and clearly don’t fancy it
We have reached so many new lows over the years it’s not even funny , you quite rightly talk of our past butFulham and Brentford are streets a head of us now we can’t even compete with Millwall or Luton , as said earlier to another poster Les won’t appoint Ainsworth in a million years
All that being said I thought Sunderland bar Burnley have been the best footballing team I’ve seen this season
Speakman has done wonders at yours , you have some very good players and think you may sneak autos this season

I've been through this thread five times and I'm absolutely shocked to the core that there's not a single mention of the legendary Hoop Devon White.
