An absolute load of shite. When you see what people get away with it's pathetic. So we're now on a great anti sexism crusade you'll not be able to breathe shortly. All these men coming on TV condemning it,what kind of men are they? I'll tell you the type who had their balls taken away a long time ago.Tossers.
Here's what Loose Women were talking about this week....
1. Is it a turn-off if your man copies your beauty tricks?
Jonathan Ross presented the British Comedy Awards at the weekend and it has emerged that his svelte shape was not achieved without help as he was wearing underpinnings! Jonathan confessed that he had donned the figure-compressing Spanx T-shirt under his suit because he had not shed enough pounds over the festive period. Is it a turn-off if your man copies your beauty tricks?
2. Is an all-girl education best for girls?
The popularity of all-girl schools is declining as more parents choose to have their daughters educated in mixed sex classrooms. The drop is attributed to a change in parental attitudes toward education, a greater choice of top co-ed schools and a belief that learning in a mixed environment produces more well rounded individuals. Today, we’re asking: Is an all-girl education best for girls?
3. Would you be happy to let your man win to keep him happy?
Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana decided to take up marathon running to lose weight, but now it sounds like Gordon is a little peeved as during last year’s London marathon he has to pull out with cramps, while Tana finished in just over six hours. He told Jay Leno: “I’ve got a plan up my sleeve. Have another baby. Slow her down a little bit.” Would you be happy to let the man in your life win just to keep him happy?

i remember one sunderland game last season i was listening to on century radio and the commentator was a women. now, im not sexist but it was horrendous. not because it was a women but because women commentators in football are not as good as their male counterparts. i remember at the time there was a thread on here all saying the same thing and i like many others switched channels to bbc newcastle. in this instance its my opinion that women shouldnt commentate as i dont like it. the BBC also have a woman who occasionally commentates also and she too is awful.
does that make us all sexist?
not really bothered about andy gray but fuckin hell did he really deserve the sack. i appreciate that his comments were ' distasteful ' but haway man. the country has gone mad incase someone upsets someone else.
To them it was just banter but to anyone with a brain it was really offensive - hopefully they've learned that now. If they'd been two nobodies going on like that down the pub then that would be OK - they'd just be tedious wankers that no-one wants to shag. But at work it's a disciplinary, especially in the context, and quite right.
are you a girl or gay ? or one of them metrosexuals ?
He got sacked for what amounted to sexual harassment of a colleague. Sky said his sacking relates to an incident in December, which is the Charlotte Jackson video. Personally, the 2 incidents more than warrant a sacking. The first because women shouldn't have to put up with their senior colleagues being lecherous towards them, and the second as it demonstrated crass bigotry. I work in a mixed gender office, and would absolutely deserve the sack if I did what he did.
And not liking a female commentator doesn't make you sexist, no. It wasn't a case of Gray 'not liking' this referee's assistant, it was a case of him claiming that she'd be incompetent due to her gender.
Are you a virgin or trapped in a miserable marriage?
your f***ing radjed like
My what? Is that a question? A crossword clue?
correct me if i`m mistaken but none of these `incidents` were broadcast.
2 questions
1. did the lass who was subjected to his banter in the first incident complain?
2. would you feel agrieved if your work filmed a private conversation between you and your mate at `the water cooler` then disciplined you for it...again after nobody complained?
1. Don't know. You might want to direct that question to Sky's HR department.
2. Perhaps, but if I had made the comments then I'd realise that I simply wouldn't have a leg to stand on. We all sign contracts stating that gross misconduct is a sackable offense.
Questions for you;
1. If either women were your girlfr... mother, would you think the comments fair?
2. If your boss was caught saying that you were probably incompetent as you were from a working class background, would that be OK?
1. I wouldnt be happy but I`m not naive enough to believe they wont of heard similar stuff.
2. I`d gan and see him and ask why he thought that.
joking aside though, my issue with the original, which now appears to be the latter offence is that it wasnt broadcast and was just a convo between friends. he`s a moron for saying it but i dare say it was half said tongue in cheek anyhow
1. And would you agree that stuff like that perhaps should be stamped out? And that your wife should be judged on her performance and not her genitals?
2. You go and see him. He denies it. Your mate who is from a posher background gets a pay rise. You don't. You know why - it's on tape. You have the tape. Do you do anything with the tape?

I dunno. When I read it, I thought the same. Just a sexist joke. But listening to the tapes, it seems that they both really meant it. A broadcaster of Sky's profile could perhaps let a sexist joke slide, but they can't be seen to be employing full-on sexists.
I actually think Ron Atkinson was sacked for way less. His comment was the equivalent of being caught saying that someone was a "stupid f***ing bitch". To flip it, Gray and Keys' equivalent would be saying that a black player had a bad game cos all black people are physically incapable of playing football properly.
