Andy Gray and Richard Keys off-mic

Why?

She looks a lot more capable than most, she was running the line against Blackpool at our place and i can't recall a mistake. She got a marginal decision spot-on yesterday where most would have chosen for the 'homer' option.

Exactly what I was thinking. My heart sank when I saw her at the Blackpool game, but in fairness she got everything spot on.

I have nowt against women refs or linesmen oops I mean lineswomen, but when the entire end of a stadium start singing "Get your tits out for the lads" don't start complaining or moaning, that is football and if you can cope great, if you can't, get back to the ironing. :D

She hasn't got any

"Amused to hear Kenny Dalglish began today's presser by asking Sky's @VinnOConnor if he was ok with a female journo being in the room"
:lol::lol:

I have complained to Sky to demand their immediate sacking - not really because i think that's an appropriate punishment, but because they're a pair of vacuous fuckwits.

Talking about it on 5Live now, Lawrie Sanchez on saying its 'a generational thing', so that would make it alright if there was a racial element to this would it? Ron Atkinson got sacked for doing similar.

 f***ing hell, that sounds a bit condescending "eeeh, didn't you do well, even got a close decision right". It wasn't that close a decision to be fair, it was fairly clear cut, and now we are getting people saying how good she seems to be at her job because they have seen her make about 2 or 3 decisions that could be seen as "major" and she hasn't yet fucked one up (actually I thought that was the game where there was another offside decision shortly afterwards that she got wrong, but it might not have been, i wasnt paying much attention to the highlights if I'm honest)

Regardless of the whole "women in football" debate, time will tell how good she is as a "linesperson", we have seen her in 2 games and she hasn't made a major gaffe yet, which is vaguely encouraging, but some of the comments are a bit over the top

About half a yard, hardly clear cut imo

Ron Atkinson was racist towards Desailly.

when they showed the replay it was clearly onside- not as if they were level where people would say "i suppose you'd give the advantage to the attacker in that situation", there was daylight between the defender and the attacker. Just my opinion, but had that one been given as offside it would have been flagged up as a very bad and costly mistake- she deserves very little praise for getting it right, its the sort of decision that linespeople should (and i know they dont always, but they should) be getting right at least 90% of the time. The right decision, but some of the praise she is getting for calling it right is OTT, she'd have been slated if there was daylight and she flagged

Removed from tonight's game. Doubt that they will be sacked.

Small mention in paper this morning said they'd both been spoken too and reminded of how to conduct themselves. hope karen brady bans them from upton park.

Anyone remember when Andy Gray had a go at Julian Dicks in the early days of Sky? He was shit scared the next time he was Upton Park as he'd had a few threats from WHU fans.

Who gives a fuck? If they're good at what they do then who cares? Plenty of blokes have been proved to be absolute shit at refereeing so why not give others a chance?
Am I to assume that you are taking an anti sexist stance?. Seriously though, I totaly agree. When you consider some of the howlers that male officials have made over the years, Messrs Poll and Atwell spring to mind straight away for their inability to on occasions get the simplest decision correct, why have a go at a female officail who seemed to have a decent game on Saturday?

Seriously though it's a f***ing joke, so fuck they've heckled a woman with a shit old joke, big f***ing deal, the way karen brady's going on you think they were making plans to drug, tie up then spit roast her! women have no sense of humour about shit like this, it's ok for the 4 bints on loose women to rip blokes up for arse paper every day with age old gadgie put downs and you don't hear us whinging about it, it's a sad state of affairs!

There's 1 old nugget of wisdom that is as true now as it was when it was first coined, never trust owt than can bleed for 5 days and not die!
