We need an out and out proven goal scorer can’t take a risk like this season

If we go down will be a great opportunity to rebuild using our U23s as a core group/base to start again from. They are a good bunch and are desperate to represent the club. We have a good few and should only need to make a few signings.

Get the momentum going and invest again next summer for the Championship with some of these lads having another season of proper football under their belts.

All hinges on new ownership and us not going bust. If we get bought I will be ok with the above and feel positive even if we drop.

Still not convinced, its a nice idea and would be good to see, but we have played a fair few under 23 players this year and its not just worked

100% agree re this year, but the Championship is a funny league. Our squad was ill prepared and are way too soft for this league. We’ll need to get some physicality in if we stay up or when we come back up.

I reckon the majority of our young lads will be ok in League One with some league experience thrown in. It’s when we come back up we’ll need Championship built players.

It's worth pointing out that, whilst he's doing well, he's doing well in the Scottish Championship, a league which is League 2/National League level (and probably lower for the bottom two clubs at the moment). Also, today's goal was scored against the nine men of Brechin City, a team whose league record this season is played 30 won 0 drawn 4 lost 26 (all 15 away games lost). I hope the lad continues to improve and comes back to use and does well but there's a massive gap between the league he's in now and whichever league we'll be in next season.
Fun facts about Brechin, it isn't a city at all and the football team has the only senior ground in Europe with a hedge along one of its perimeters

For every Vardy there’s hundreds of Ryan Nobles
The problem with Ryan Nobles was not ability, he had the lot to become a very good striker. What he he did lack is desire, the right attitude.

Andrew Nelson on the other hand seems to have the right attitude and a desire to become a professional footballer but with the fraction of ability Noble had. It will be very interesting who will be the better career of the two.

Isn’t Ryan Noble like a glass collector or some shit. I personally never rated him. I’ve also heard stories about his drinking.

No idea of what he's doing now. I do know though he was shit hot at youth and reserve level, he was also a regular within the England youth ranks. Lack of desire done for him.

I remember Nathan Luscombe, who was in the same youth team as Henderson, Colback and Waghorn. He has great ability and looked a certainty to make it, however he had a bad attitude and lacked the desire to be a pro. He faded from the game nowhere to be seen.

Agreed.
Noble scored a great goal for the kids v Fulham at the cottage a few years back. Tremendous skill n vision. A fool to himself. As was Thornton.
Pickford was in goal.
The Spanish kid lashed in a 35 yarder in the last minute.....think he went to NZ?

Skill, vision talent etc is only a small % of it.

From his Wikipedia

“Perhaps Luscombe's finest moment in his career was defeating Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson in an episode of skill school on Soccer AM.”

One to tell the gran kids I suppose

Ryan Noble scoring against Groningen in the Peace cup. He also played a part in Campbell's goal. Van Dijk was playing for them as well

He went really fat

Just scored again for Falkirk. He's doing very well up there
One of his biggest attributes is his strength and physicality...when he played for the under 23s at hetton he didnt half get stuck in..bit raw ( cos he was young?) but i hope he continues to improve and if you mix better ability with that physicality he could do very well..good luck to him

He has had 4 great chances in the last 2 games where he should have scored, He is weak as piss and his first touch is shit, don't think he would score loads in Scotland just think he would get more chances to miss!
About opinion marra but dint think hes weak as piss....admittedly ive only watched him for our under 23s mind not in scotland

He definitely isn't weak, physically is his biggest attribute.

Terrible idea. We'd go down again
