So for the 2 main positions we've needed filling for about 18 months now, we've ended up with 2 stop gap loans!! Ki I think will be good, but Dossena?! Joke. Smacks of desperation and PDC wanting someone on his side in the dressing room

It will have fuck all to do with pdc mate, it will be whats out there that we can get in at this point, the setup has failed to address the issues over the summer, i dont think we can point fingers at pdc for this one.

When did we become some sort of european super club where (a) a fullback with Champions League, Premier League and Serie A experience and 10 caps for Italy is "shite" and "underwhelming"; and (b) a manager gets the first three games of the season to get things right before he needs to be sacked?

This board really is pathetic sometimes.

Phil Bardsley has Champions league experience, has won the Premier League and has is a capped international.

We recently had a LB with World Cup experience, scored the goal of the season in a Champions League QF as well as completing a clean sweep of domestic honours. His name is Wayne Bridge.

He was their record signing last season though....it would be like us letting Fletcher go on loan. Some of Swansea's fans reckon he's only 5th choice in CM.....expecting a lot of him to come here and radically change ours. He can pass the ball mind, i'll give him that but without someone alongside him providing a bit of steel i think he'll get overrun. According to their fans he's lightweight and lazy.
Theyve signed a few in there since then and theyve pushed him down the pecking order mate. Catts is one of our more expensive cms but cant get a game here anymore its just the way things pan out at times.

I dunno man. Can't believe the club rejected M'Bengue last week! And now we're probably lumbered with a 32 yr old who failed a medical a few days ago. There simply has to be better out there. Fuck all this 'value for money' stuff, our net spend is like £7m?! Simply not enough for a team that finished 17th

As much as I would love Milner, if we are signing up washed up left backs and loans from Swansea then proven English Premier League players on big wages is definitely not going to happen.

No....i'm foolish for even contemplating it.....

Im surprised noone has mentioned he played on loan at Palermo last season, a fairly decent Serie A side in recent years, who coincidentally just got relegated

They only signed him a year ago man.....how can he fall from record signing to 5th choice in a year. I think Swansea are hoping we'll play him regularly to keep their investment in the shop window. If he performs like our resident South Korean he'll be going back shell-shocked and broken.

I agree mate i just think thats got little if owt to do with pdc, we are all well aware what this new setup is and its failed to sort out the glaring issues not the manager, hes been banging on about a cm and lb for weeks.

Owld Fishpaste made a good point on Twitter. We hummed and harred about Peruzzi failing a medical, eventually called the deal off beacuse of it.

Dossena failed a medical at Torino last week.

Theyve progressed rapidly mate top half finish and a cup, its not as if he didnt play last season he played 29 times in the league i think it was so played a big part in what they did.

Remember the optimism here around the time Perruzi was "nailed on"? Feels like years ago.

If I was PDC I'd be pissed off that what he asked for 3 months ago has never really been addressed or properly invested in. He couldn't have made it anymore clear that he wanted Huddlestone in!
