Unless things change radically today we've made a right pigs ear of this window.

I can't believe how I've gone from being so positive in July, when we signed Giaccherini to now. The window has been shocking for us again, still no left-back and Vaughan/Gardner and Larsson playing centre midfield (even Bruce and O'Neill didn't resort to that).

We're weaker all over the pitch, bar left wing and right back than we were Di Canio's first game

In terms of the window, the problems been to after every signing, I think most have still thought "right, we still need another 3 or so for the starting 11." Even with Ki I'm still thinking that!!

Bottom of the barrel signing
He must be the 18th choice
Sign of the times ?

We are stronger up front also mind, Altidore and Fletch could be very promising with with our wide options, as long as they both stay fit of course, and you never know there might be a hitch and Sess may stay?

Of course he's nowhere near our first choice but what do you expect when we've been unlucky with left backs in this window? Mendy was taken off us at the last minute by Marseille, Orban wanted more money when that was almost done, Oczipka turned us down, Benito bid was rejected, Liverpool signed Cissokho, De Ceglie didn't want to leave Juve and Spurs are not interested in selling Rose.

Dossena is better than no one, gives us options at least.

Ridiculous that we might go another window without signing a LB like. Wonder how many players we've had through the doors since we last had a permanent and recognised LB at the club?

We have moved from lb to lb so god knows how much the club actually want dossena[DOUBLEPOST=1378108337][/DOUBLEPOST]

Cm and lb will probably go unaddressed, I think ki is a decent player but we needed a real quality ball player in there and it hasn't happened.

Can't see anything but a struggle, especially if borini on loan is replacing sess

I am outside of supporting this club. You have to admit it's not far off the mark though.....12 in and arguably a weaker starting X1.

On one hand we had no option other than to rip it up and start again.

On the other hand, we've still got most of our worst players (and, apparently, the most corrosive dressing-room influences) on the pay roll, while at least half of our acquisitions are not deemed good enough for the first team by the manager.

As it stands, I think Giaccherini is the only signing that doesn't come with issues or question marks hanging over his head. Assuming today sees us bring in Dossena and Borini while losing Sess, it has been a bit of a shambolic window. Big day today.
